Post by: wasted_talent on October 18, 2013, 08:47:17 AM
Has anyone used one or seen one of these bats? A guy at our club brought one 2 years ago and wants to purchase another, but I cant seem to find them anywhere online...

sq sports, but I think a few people have been warned off it.

Ishan Doublewood or something. Doublewood, understandable but strange name. Better suited to whisky.

Doublewood, doubleblade, both common names for Laminates from Pakistan.

Kinda gives away the secrecy of having a lam though having it plastered all over the bat!

As a general trend, there is nothing secretive about Pakistani laminates. They make bloody huge bats, basically glueing two clefts together, with the join not being particularly close to the surface of the face of the bat, like on a Tim Keeley or UK made 'performance' lam. Which are often made by chopping a thin layer of the face off and then glueing it back on.

The other type of lam i have seen from India, Pakistan and the UK is one where a nicer looking face is glued onto i assume a ropey looking bat based on the back of it.
