Having had quite a lot of time off recently, I've been able to watch the Ryobi Cup in Australia the past month or so where there's been some great innings. All of the games appear to be played at Sydney based club grounds (even if they're premier club sides!). It has got me thinking about the difference in standard between the ECB county sides and Australian State sides as well. I thimk the major difference in culture is that international cricketers are still turning out for their club sides which I think is great, not including Dave Warner who actually declined to play for his club and had a "private net session" instead, only to grab a 0 in his next NSW innings. Oh the irony Dave. It has also been good to see the likes of Cameron White and Usman Khawaja show some consistency throughout the competition. There's also been some other great performances from the likes of Ben Cutting, even if it was with the bat!
If anybody is free today in Oz, you should be watching Victoria vs NSW. Victoria are 0/190 off 27 overs - Dan Christian is 100* (Yes, the million dollar IPL man) from 71 balls, Rob Quiney only on 86 from 92.

Don't think I could have timed this thread better, take a bow David Warner. Smaaaaaaash!

Has been a good tournament, unfortunate result today.
Still think its stupid though having the games in a tournament format, especially when games are being played at grounds like North Sydney oval.
But outstanding innings from Warner today as well as Christian and Quiney.
Theres no one I enjoy watching make runs more than Bobby Quiney

When Quiney gets going he looks awesome. A few loose shots but nobody is perfect. Yesterday's game was ridiculous, I'm sure England don't mind too much that all Aussies are currently playing one day cricket a month before the Ashes start. Though I guess they're playing at least? Following NSW I'm pretty pleased with yesterday ;)

Anyone got any idea if the final is being showed on Aussie TV, anyone got a stream for it?

It's on Gem from 10.00 am NSW time

Thanks, anyone got a stream?!

Top innings from Nevill, Smith and Maddinson for NSW. Smith was hitting it beautifully before that top catch in the gully by Khawaja! Maddinson looks a prospect at 20yo as well. Anybody know any more on Nevill? Will be good to see how the run chase goes actually.

Nevills a pretty decent keeper, moved to NSW in 08, missed out a bit last year due to Haddin being back for NSW but now Haddin's back in the Aus side will get a decent go again with NSW. he's 28 but the Windies tour when Wade debuted due to Haddin going home Nevill was there as backup for him, so he's been in the selectors sights before.
Maddinson will play a lot of Cricket for Australia.
