Title: Recoil players batting pads. Genuine player issue.
Post by: wilkie113 on October 25, 2013, 07:44:40 PM
I will let pictures do the talking. Never thought I'd find some more pads like my rogue 850s, best pads I've worn. But these are equally as comfy. Will grab some more pictures tomorrow!

Comparison pictures with my Rogue 850s.
From looking at the pads together, the side protection or wing is a little larger on the 'players' pads.
The mesh on the top hat on the inside is a nicer little touch than it being all leather IMO, but some people may prefer the leather.
Not to sure on the mesh on the instep, with my rogues being leather I'd have thought players would be too. But the leather on my old pads hasn't worn after two seasons so I doubt the mesh will! Padded straps same as the rogues.
They feel a lot more supple than the rogues did when I first had them, as if there ready to go straight away, I'm sure everyone has had squeaky pads and it drives me insane!

Lovely looking pads bud, I never really considered pro issue pads. I don't know why, I just never really found the look of them to be that different from any other Kook pads, but these pictures tell me otherwise! I don't know why I didn't like the minimalist look until now... :-[ Do these come in small mens? Please say no, I don't want to buy another pair of pads...

Not trying to pee on the bonfire, but to my mind that pad is no different (branding restrictions aside) to a top end off the shelf pad from Kook. The top pads have the memory foam lining, as well as that nice mesh and leather combo.

I think most get them from Lorimers mate, he has a bit of players gear on his eBay shop.

I'm pretty sure there similar if not the sae as a top end kook pad. I think I just love the restricted branding. I think they are a little lighter than my rogues, but that may be because theres a few years difference between the two
