Title: Amplus with a twist
Post by: LEACHY48 on October 29, 2013, 12:35:53 AM
Hi guys, so with my M&H original high breaking for fun, I decided to buy another bat, given that I have had my two highest scores with the Milli, I wanted something the same, but did not want to pay 180-200 quid for one. So the fun began. I messaged possibly every up and coming bat maker on here, and in the end it came down to a pre made bat from Ryan that had a very similar profile, or get a custom made G1 from Dom (SillyShilly). I opted for the latter, purely because I wanted to try a DS and I fancied another fully customised bat. I also liked some of the stamps that Dom has put on profiles. He sent me over a picture of a load of clefts, and answered all of my questions. I asked for the lightest best performing cleft, and so this was born :

It only has to be finished and knocked in now, massive thanks goes out to Dom for his efforts. I am super pleased with how its come out.

DS is making some really nice bats, love the Amplus shape (so much so I bought one) :D
What's the weight going to be on this?

Thanks mate, he is indeed. Not sure, but I asked for 2.8-9, so its big for its weight.

Yup, that pretty much is about as light as you can get an Amplus. Mine was a slither under 2 lbs 10oz but has gained a little weight.
