No it's not me in the mirror in my fitness regime. What do you reckon to this one. Based on my vintage profile but with more guts in it. Beautiful pick up. This one is just under 2-9 at the moment. 1 1/4" edges. Waiting to be sanded up and polished.

What's the pickup like Paul? Looks like it could be a tad bottom heavy
Ignore that just read " beautiful pickup" haha
Looks pregnant... A certain pinger I'd say
-
:o This looks an absolute beauty!
Looks like the Michael Clarke profile to me.
Is this for sale?
-
Well Just looking at a couple of new shapes that are going to be our new range in what will be a change to our products for 2014. Just sorting logos and stickers out now. The first time I made this shape a couple of weeks ago it astonished me as to the pick up. It's based on my vintage and an old bat I had when I was playing.

Wouldn't know what the Michael Clarke profile is to be honest don't go looking too much at others just try and create what I think is the best feel and nicest shape really and take it from there

Just dropped you an email. What weight will this be finished?
-
2-11 will pick up more like 2-9 / 2-10 mark though.
-
Lovely profile, you got skills
-
Oh shucks :-[
Many thanks
-
Subtle change to the bat posted here. Here's a pic with another one shaped up next to it. Can you spot the subtle change and which do you prefer. Both weigh the same too.

edge profile possibly? The one on the left looks slightly thicker at toe and shoulder. That said the middle could be lower on the left one, but they don't appear to be level, so it could be camera angle.
-
Ok better view what do you reckon

Lower middle. And these both look like absolute belters! Keep up the good work Paul!
-
Its a longer middle. The middle on the left hand one is huge whilst retaining a great pick up. I think I have fallen in love with this shape.
-
The one on the left looks an absolute animal.
Much concaving to help the pick up?
-
A little not much, as you know I'm not a fan of a lot of concaving

Is the one on the left your usual shape? Looks very similar to mine, it have you tweeted it?
EDIT: just compared mine to these, earth one is different. The one on the left seems to have a lower sweet spot.

And that mr aldred should go on every batmakers front door. Huge bat huge willow.
-
I think you may be right horseman but it's not too snappy as a catch phrase :D
-
Looks like a Solution. Very nice.
-
Great work Paul, I love the new shape! Looks like a lovely reassuringly low middle that packs a great punch when clubbing them off the front foot. I also enjoy the extended spine on this one. Do you think that has contributed to the middle being a bit longer?
I'd love to see you take on a mid to high middled bat next. Something for slightly quicker and bouncier tracks.
-
Cys that's the beauty with our supremes now as we can adapt the centres very easily
-
Looks like a Solution. Very nice.
Are they the old millichamps from the 90s.
-
Would love to see a comparison of the middle position with this new shape next to your shape with the spine running through to the toe.
Reckon you've got most preferences covered with your shapes now.
-
I love this latest one the middle is huge even though it looks low and the pick up is awesum. It just takes me back to those great bats that were around when I was making my way but a tad bigger.
-
I have to say I don't think people hit it any further than they used to when I was playing by having the big bats now. There were always freaks who could hit it miles. They have even brought the boundaries in these days to make it look more spectacular. I can remember chris cairns hitting me for six at derby and it was still going up as it hit the top corner of the score box we just stood there laughing and he got me a beer after the game and I willingly accepted it. He wasn't the only one either
-
Someone just sent this through to me not the day I got hit for six by cairns but probably by someone else. Blimey this does make me feel my age

And followed up with this one. Nice these have never seen these before fantastic.

-
Looks like the one on the right would have a better pick up as compared to the left one..the left profile would probably be more suitable for middle order hitting on low pitches.
-
I think the pick up of this needs to be evaluated by someone so you get a true description of how good the feel is
-
very impressive bats!
-
Left one similar to a Solution, both very nice.
-
Always look better with a grip on 2-10 finished its a beaut.

Turn the phone off, sit back in a comfy chair, drink beer ;)
I keep getting this strange urge to buy every hand made bat I see on this forum, especially yours, DS's and BB's. I may be at stage 1 B.A.D :(
