That profile and ping is gorgeous. The Hermes sticker looks good on the bat than on its own. Really impressive !

I love a bit of butterfly too, the only downside is the wood just tends to be a bit more dense.
No biggie, but they do play. No doubt.

I swear by butterfly willow aswell mate, My GN nitro had it and was a great bat, my Salix didn't have one but was still a goer but not as good as my Nitro...so I found a Python with a butterfly stain on and jumped at the chance to own it considering it was huge for the weight aswell - which like you say is rare due to the density of willow with it!
Hoping to get a red ink pretty soon aswell :)!

Stains grains have no real performance enhancement

Bats are as varied as the grading system made to just make the most money

That's true to some extent.
I certainly never seen a dog ugly bat commanding a top dollar price.

The only think I would pay extra for now is big lumps and great pickups

My advice is blind fold use one when selecting a bat

Well pick up is profile / shape related

Big lumps . . . . . . well yes this is one reason IMO that u don't see too much butterfly on the pro circuit anymore due to generally being heavier pieces of wood.

How much longer do these type of bats take to get going Dean? I see on the YouTube video you say your bat is in its 4th season, is that your match bat that has been used for the last 4 seasons? If so that's very very impressive, and the ping sounded very nice indeed.
