Agreed in the photos the stickers do look a little loud. However in the flesh its a different story as the quality of the stickers is excellent and they have a textured feel to them which looks very good.

Quality wise we have been assured the blades will be A1...and as they are using one of the top factories, no doubt they will.

I was really impressed with the profiles when we saw the bats in the showroom a few months ago. Then after that we had a team from Adidas that came into see us in September including the chap thats looking after the production and sourcing with the factories....they are taking cricket really seriously now so we should expect good things.

...and with the Ayrtek collaboration, it shows they mean business. So don't be put off by the stickers, its what the bats do that counts!

Do you mean tushar, top bloke and great to speak to and deal with?

he now heads up the category and was very high up at SG before being taken on by Adidas.

Really good to deal with and has a big knowledge base about the product range.

Yes thats right Tushar, like you say really nice guy and as he was with SG for over 12 years he obviously knows his stuff. He was with us for quite a while, along with 4 others from Adidas UK (Specialist Sports) and Germany.

Yeah good bunch of lads and as a collective have a vast knowledge base of the retail and cricket market....iv certainly learnt a lot over the last few months we have been lucky enough to work with them.

Adidas are def in cricket as a serious sport as we were invited out the their HQ in Germany last week to see the 2014-15 plans and what's happening going forward. Lots going on with players and getting the right people using the kit that's for sure :)

I used to have a pellara, it was a good bat. At first I wasn't sure about the stickers and such, but they grew on me in time. I also owned their top set of gloves and pads, both of which was good quality. For me, I think Adidas' gear has generally been of good quality, and not too bad on price either.

As for this year's gear. They've got a new interesting colour scheme. The elite batting gloves look nice, not sure about the pro set. The batting and keeping pads look good. Though I do not like the colour scheme of the keeping gloves, design wise they look like a good glove, but the colours are almost as off putting as Slazenger's stuff from last season. Overall, some interesting new stuff.

Never really liked the stickers or the bats. They don't seem to be improving.

Hard to tell until you've actually seen them in the flesh...

I paid £200 for my first Adidas, which was an Incurza V1.0 County (G3). It was an amazing bat, just not quite a £200 bat in looks, but I would say it performed almost as well as my top bats. I really loved it though, I even toed a six with it! I think after their first year, the bats I saw in the store weren't quite as good quality as they used to be, and the prices had lowered, so it seemed like Adidas had perhaps found a different manufacturer and cheaper sticker designs. With the best helmets on the market, it would make sense if they produced their other gear to a high standard too! :)

I have had two Incurza Elite bats - the first one looked nothing special! It had lovely grains but was small profile but it punched way above its weight. The sweet spot was large and the pressing was superb, and the ball flew!!!!
The other hasn't been used yet but it taps up so well!!!
I'm not keen on the stickers, but there is no doubting the quality of pressing and the performance!!!

200 smackers for a grade 3 bat?! That's crazy money.

The new spikes look awful, the sl22's look garish even by adidas' standards!

Have to agree that the 2014 footwear doesn't look too great in stock images. Keen in picking up sl22 from this season somewhere even more now!

Middle of the season, picked up some e-bay bargains - a Libro and an Incurza, both Elite grades - £80 a piece. I was actually acquiring them for others at the club. However, having knocked in the Libro, used it in nets, etc, I ended up keeping it and scored four half centuries with it. The Incurza is a decent stick, slightly heavier in the pick up, they are similar weights 2.9 / 2.10, but the Libro picks up like a 2.7. The Incurza taps up very nicely and is the perfect weight and pick up for one of our guys (who smashed his bat last game of the season!) who'll get that opened up in indoor nets. Used both at a recent indoor net session at Cricket Asylum - I won't be parting with the Libro. Very impressed with the quality of the willow and the playing properties. They do have round, slightly thinner handles than some manufacturers, but as a "two and a half grips" man anyway, not a big issue.

SL22's were really popular this year...we have only 1 pair left!

The theory behind the coloured areas on the heel section is that when you have your whites on they are covered up just leaving the 3 stripes at the front of the boot and making them predominantly white. I was taken aback originally by them when you see them as a stand alone product but once worn with trousers the look becomes more sedate.

Smith wore a pair when scoring his double tonne the other week and must be 1 of the 1st players to use them i think, Carbs and the rest of the England lads are now using them too.
