Title: SQ Sports
Post by: badgerer on November 10, 2013, 09:12:57 PM
Does anyone know much about http://www.sq-sports.co.uk/ (http://www.sq-sports.co.uk/)
Seems to be selling top bats at very low prices, seems dodgy to me.

Yes - I know the owner. He buys direct from SS and therefore gets lower prices, but you can only get those on request right now.

He is trying to build demand for his brand (previously selling through eBay), thus the random selection of gear he is currently selling.

Well, I have just brought a SS LE from him and it's the real deal :)

His name is Saqa100 on eBay. Some of his SS bats are on there, which aren't on the website.

Used to play with Shaz - not bought a bat off him myself but a couple of lads at my club have bought H4L's from SQ-SPorts and are more than happy with them. I've had softs off him without any issue.

I like retailers who put the picture of the actual bat up on there site. Also impressed with the info he gives about the bats i.e weight edge size, grains etc.

Just picked up a CA Plus 8000 Tamin from SQ Sports, scales showed 2.13 and picks up a lot lighter. I'm not fussed about perfect grains, has 15 grains in total, very slight waves and some not that evenly spaced, 40mm edges with full profile. Loads of stock and some real belters! Showed me a H4L which was huge and weighed 2.8! Lots of brands.

Would highly recommend

Forgot to add. Showed me a Alfred duck bill bat. Now feeling one and found pick up not to my liking, but must say it had the best finish to a bat I've seen.

To be honest I have not got a clue what year this model is. My first time for an Asian branded bat. I normally go around 3lb but getting old means lighter bat is needed

One of them became the cricketshed (the main bat/softs man) the other has set up a new brand.
