There is no doubt that he is legendary cricketer!
India is planning great farewell for him. I'm also eagerly waiting for it. To play 200 test in career is very nice record in international cricket.
He just said that, "life without cricket is unimaginable for me".
He knew from the childhood that for what he was born, and he has done all that through out his life!

Today the day was amazing and all very there cheering in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium, but when match declared in favor of WI.
Oh, only one name was there whosoever over there and that was master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
Very heart touching it was!

End of an era. The only constant in cricket, at least since I began to understand is gone. Have been following him since he used to appear in newspaper everyday for his performances in some Harris shield or local club game. Cricket will be different now on.

He will be missed from the game!
I always rated him in the top few batsmen in all formats! And he is certainly one of the best Test batsmen from the last 30 years or more!
Quality and a joy to watch when he's on form - he is one of my faves and (as he proved with his farewell speech) a really genuine and grounded bloke! A true Gent of the game! :D

the speech was real good...emotional ..paying tribute to everyone who has contributed in his career

Excellent speech from the great man and its the longest ive ever heard him speak as he rarely gives interviews. Wonderful insight into the dedication, motivation and influence of his family that kept him playing for 24 years.

I am sad that I'll not see him play anymore, but I am happy for him, he doesn't have to carry a nation's burden anymore.
-
Apart from the speech, the thing which touched me the most was the way he touched the pitch ( way of showing respect and asking for blessings from someone) for 1 last time, he really meant it from his heart.

I have it all recorded ready to watch back tonight when the wife and daughters are off visiting her family. Time can't move quickly enough this afternoon!
