What is this mark on the bat? Is it a butterfly stain?
Also what grade do you think this bat is. I bought it straight from a manufacturer in India
-
Looks like a small butterfly or bar stain to me - take a look at http://www.cricketbatwillow.com/imperfections-in-willow (http://www.cricketbatwillow.com/imperfections-in-willow)
Looks a nice blade :-)
-
Is it a smooth shiny mark? they probably said it was grade 1
Reckon it is grade 2 purely because of the mark.
-
that looks a beauty!
-
Take closer please
-
I will get a close up pic inside the hour. I have not got a clue what the mark is. The blade is completely clean on the back and around the splice
Will reveal the grade and price later
-
Run your palm over the area is it raised compared to the rest of the face?
Does it go into the hitting zone?
-
It's the flash of your camera reflecting back
-
The bat is not raised when I rub my hand over the mark
Here is a close up pic but its hard to get a pic without daylight and using a flash
