Hi all,
Its with great disappointment to announce that i am unable at present to make, repair or refurb and cricket bats at present.
I've recently taken a heap of extra responsibility at work and moved house so lost my workshop/shed. I was hoping to use the garage at our new house but we've decided to go ahead with a double extension so at present the garage is full of furniture and rubbish from the move.
I would like to thank people who have bought bats for their custom and i hope you enjoy your bats as much as i did shaping them.
I will have a few bits and bobs for sale over the next couple of weeks.

I'm sorry to hear this Chris, but having just read your launch post on the KoiWorld forum about building monster ponds for a good price can see the direction you are heading in......

Cheers Mike, its been a difficult decision but its almost impossible for me to keep going at present, i've asked around a few mates to see if i can borrow their garages with no luck.
The missus wouldn't let me convert a bedroom into a temporary workshop especially as it would leave 3 kids sharing a small bedroom when it comes to knocking through for the extension.
Yes the pond build is another issue altogether, no progress on that for the last week and a half due to lack of spare time, i didn't realise you were into Koi Mr Brimble?

No more CE for the time being, never say never but i just can't give the batmaking the full attention it needs.
All emails will be replied to when i have a little bit more time, i'm 30 today so in mourning and slightly drunk!

If my downstairs loo was a tad bigger then there would be a problem, just clamp the bats under the toilet seat and away i go......
Not sure what kind of lay off i'm looking at, at least 4 months or so depending how quickly and how many jobs i have left to do!

No return on the cards yet, if you were to see how i'm living at present you'd see why!
Might think about it in the future, maybe making the odd blank bat for friends etc, never have/find the time to give it my full attention. If i were to i'd go the whole hog and make them from a raw cleft.

I thinking of getting some handle clefts in maybe you could teach me then properly i throw a bat in it for you.
PS Chris Easby should not be allowed near fences he dives on them trying to take catches
