Whatever you've been smoking must be good!

I had an Op on my leg yesterday under NOS and morphine so may still being showing the effects... Good way to get the whole test match off work though :D
-
Seems like a bit of a drastic measure to get the test off, but nobody can question your dedication to seeing your team get beaten! ;)

Warne as captain? He never got the chance, I'd love to see if he walks the walk and with this team he could be as imaginative as he liked!
-
No-one has picked Afridi yet :( I may have to change my team!!
-
ANd not a single call for Keith Miller or Denis Compton!
-
Nor Allan Donald.
-
sgcricket went for Sobers...
Allan Donald was really nearly in my team - but I went for Jeff Thompson because he is widely recognised as the fastest bowler in history. If there was someone faster, then they get the nod (possible Harold Larwood, but that was from just before I was born...!)
-
Nearly went Sobers. Bumped him for Botham, on the basis that his friendship with Viv would probably lead to much banter and shenanigans!
-
Colin Milburn
Sehwag
Rob Key
Inzi
Colin Cowdrey
Mike Gatting
Botham (the Later years)
Dave Pickett the Chubby Keeper from my club!
Merve Hughes
Eddie Hemmings
Dwayne Leverock
Tea-mongous!
-
You'd have to be quick at tea!
-
I think this would be the team:
Haynes
Gibbs
Lara
Tendulkar
Sir Viv
G. Pollock
Sobers
Gilchrist
Akram
Marshall
Holding
-
Colin Milburn
Sehwag

Botham (the Later years)
Dave Pickett the Chubby Keeper from my club!
Merve Hughes
Eddie Hemmings

Tea-mongous!
All the quick singles would put pressure on the fielders, then the dynamic fielding after tea would make this lot a force to be reckoned with!

Are you hoping to win the toss and bat for 5 days?

Are you hoping to win the toss and bat for 5 days?
I really would hope so, imagine the otherway around :o .
-
Are you hoping to win the toss and bat for 5 days?
I'm sure you can get some serviceable overs from some of them... I think Sourav has even opened the bowling before! Sourav and Waugh to open, Belly and Jayawardene to throw down some steak and kidneys as first change, Pup for a spin option! Easyyyyy!

I watched a doco a couple of nights ago where they analysed the ball Larwood bowled that hit Oldfield in the head and they calculated the speed at 147kph.. On his day they said that he could have quite easily hit the 160kph mark
