I would be really curious to know what is the warm-up routine that you guys follow before the match starts or your practice session starts.
Reached the ground really late today and had to pad up and rush in to bat.. Pulled my hamstring and having trouble running :-[..
Cheers!

Gentle lap of the boundary on my own , followed by a few lunges and half squats to get the knees more mobile.
Then into a bit of team warm up and stretch, mainly shoulders back knees and hips. (Age related!)
Then a bowl and a few throwdowns. I haven't bowled in 5 years but enjoy the pain it brings!!
Plenty of ice and a warm bath will help the hamstring. Always a pain when you feel unprepared.

League game
Rock up, eat a supermarket sandwich.
Get my shorts on and do the team fielding warm up.
Bowl a few balls with the other bowlers on the practice strip while the captain tosses up.
Then get whites on and field or sit back and watch the openers do their thing.
Sunday friendly
Arrive
Sit at the bar drinking.
If fielding get whites on and take 2 cans for on field refreshment
If batting stay sitting at the bar

I promoted myself to a boutique sandwich shop from a co-op lunch deal, excellent taste but did my average no help whatsoever.

Curious: what's your "Sunday friendly" bowling and batting average?

Bowing average I think was about 15-16 :D
Batting average was about 22 so not brilliant haha

I turn up 30 mins before. Take all my batting gear out, line it up in the changing room and then lie down on the changing room floor with my eyes closed and visualise myself getting 100.
I then wait to see if we are batting, if we are i put my gear on in between going to the toilet about 10 times.
sit outside for 5 minutes to get used to the light and stare at their bowlers to psyche them out.
If we are fielding i put on my wicketkeeping gear, fill my pockets with haribo sweets and then moan for 50 overs.
Last season was the first i had an injury plagued season, only played 8 games due to a neck injury and pre season thumb injury playing football.

I used to be positioned at slips in those 2 (or 3) day matches.. and I used to moan and moan :(

How many packets of Haribo are required to last 50 overs??
-
I take 2 bags. Haribo gets shared around whenever a wicket is taken! 2 bags is usually enough to last for 10 wickets!

Home game is
Get there 2 hours early
Open up club doors and window shutters
Open up score box and turn it on
Put atleast one sidescreen out.
Flags round pitch
Then at all games.
Fielding drills,
If batting first,
Have throw downs until I smash a ball I to the bushes, get shouted at for being a dick, then go bat.

My warm up routine used to consist of a cigarette whilst watching my team mates throw a ball to each other. Unfortunately I have quit smoking since the end of last season. Not sure what I'm going to do instead now, might take up binge drinking or class A's.

I'm a bit of a 'training' player who turns up to every available practice session so in a ideal Saturday situation, I would have a net with few players in the morning. I like to get through a few overs in the nets as an opening bowler as nothing feels worse than having not bowled a bowl all day when standing at the start of my mark. Feeling bat on bowl always boosts the confidence levels as well.
My pre match routine would normally consist around going through a few pulse raisers and getting those joints moving, a cheeky bit of hand hockey, fielding practice and then a couple of balls on the outfield.
Sounds a bit much hey? :D

Personally I try and net pre game and my scores reflect when I've netted and when I couldn't . If it's done properly doing a structured warm up (so stretches/heart rate/catches/ground fielding/keeping and bowling) is brilliant and can really make a difference. If it's just basically a few balls down the range and a few high catches from usually the old or lazy git then it's practically useless

I agree warm-up can make a huge difference. I have looked like a clown dropping a sitter when I rushed to the ground to field directly and the first ball was edged to thirdman.
