It was my 18th yesterday and a few of my mates are coming round to mine to watch the cricket tonight so I thought I'd invent an Ashes drinking game. I found some of these online and some of these were added myself and by friends. Feel free to add more and or disagree!
2013/14 Ashes Drinking Game
Take one drink when…
◦ A boundary is scored
◦ Someone appeals
◦ A wide or no-ball is bowled
◦ Jonathan Trott marks his guard
◦ Jimmy Anderson gets someone to play and miss
◦ Peter Siddle looks angry
◦ Someone talks about Graeme Swann taking wickets in his first over
◦ Nasser Hussain is bitter about an umpiring decision
◦ Pietersen’s ego is mentioned
◦ Joe Root is referred to as young
◦ Any reference to the “27 year old medium pace bowler from England”
◦ Any reference to Tremlett’s height
Take two drinks when…
◦ Peter Siddle is described as having a “big heart”, “runs in all day”, or variants thereof.
◦ Stuart Broad pleads for a review
◦ The David Warner vs. Joe Root incident is mentioned
◦ Steve Smith is described as an all-rounder
◦ David Gower says something pretentious
◦ Kevin Pietersen hits a six
◦ Michael Clarke’s back injury is referenced
◦ George Bailey’s series in India is spoken about
◦ “He bowls to the left....”
◦ Botham is called Sir Ian
Take three drinks when…
◦ A wicket falls
◦ A catch is dropped
◦ Someone suggests England is ball tampering
◦ Chris Rogers faces his 100th ball
◦ Anyone tells of when Nathan Lyon was a groundsman at Adelaide
Finish your drink when…
◦ A commentator suggests players shave off their Movember efforts
◦ Shane Watson reviews an LBW decision and is wrong
◦ Graeme Swann takes a wicket in his first over
◦ Someone scores a century (bonus shot if Michael Clarke or Alastair Cook)
◦ Warne says “Morning Nass, Morning everybody”
◦ Ian Botham moans about substitute fielders and drinks breaks
◦ It rains
All drink amounts are doubled whilst Chris Roger’s strike rate is above 70.

seems a bit complicated.
Why not just have something simple like..
finish for a wicket or 6
four fingers for a 4
2 fingers for an appeal.
simple.
I played these rules at an ODI between Sri Lanka and Aus at Sydney in 2002/3.
here is the score card... (you can imagine the state we were in.)

Went to a 20/20 on a stag do, and rules were the stag had to finish his drink via a funnel and hose after every 6... Only 2 hit all day :S
....but at least they were consecutive balls!
