Title: Handpicked beauties from Kookaburra 25/11/13
Post by: Vitas Cricket on November 25, 2013, 04:58:37 PM
I visited Kookaburra's warehouse today to handpick some of our 2014 stock bats as well as look after our pre-order customers who have jumped onto the Bubble.

Grabbed some fantastic bats, the guys at Kook were as friendly and helpful as ever. We were informed on arrival that we were the first retailer to visit and pick 2014 stock, some shops got their orders last week, but did not handpick. As a result i got first dibs on a number of previously unopened boxes and managed to pick up some screamers.

Didn't take loads of in depth pictures of the day, after all i'm there to pick bats, i don't want to take up the time of the guys at Kookaburra unnecessarily. But i do have a photo of some of the stock which i have taken back to the shop with me this evening, mostly forum pre-orders and the higher end stuff, along with a few lower end belters (these were much rarer than last year, so i'm glad i picked them out before anyone else) We have more stock bats on the way soon, and our bags, softs etc will arrive this week. :)

I think we can put one recent forum rumour to bed:

Pre-order customers, i will be in touch with you shortly. :)

More pictures of individual bats to follow, but first i'm off to McDonalds.

Ricochet 300.

Bats of this quality were much less common compared to last years Ricochet 250's, but i did manage to grab these 4, very impressive. Can't go wrong at £95. Free delivery.

Didn't tap it up or anything but purely on looks it was a stunner. No doubt though, when Chris and Jake choosing the bat I bet it performs well!

Lovely looking collection guys!

Any keeping pads in amongst them? Might be persuaded to take a road trip for a browse in the new year.

Very good spec, in line with the Kahuna Players models above in terms of protection, but slightly lower quality materials used, ie no pittards palm, 2 piece thumb instead of three, pads have a single piece bolster instead of 3 piece etc.

Nato, there should be some WK stuff in tomorrows delivery. The advantage of being so close to Kook is that if you ever wanted anything i didn't have in, i could just go and get it with very little notice.

Marc, whenever you are ready mate. :)

What is the weight of the pads mind? Sounds really promising, they are really, really reasonably priced this year too.
