Title: Bat Refurb From Dean (Vulcan)
Post by: Byo on December 03, 2013, 11:11:37 AM
Hi....

Just a quick post to say thanks to Dean for the refurb of my old GM Hero - its about 4 years old and was in need of some proper TLC!!!  The results are fantastic (as can be seen from the pics shown in the link below) and hope there are a few more years left as its such a good bat!!!

Its more of a back up bat to the H4L now, or when facing some quicker stuff as its a bit lighter.

Just bought a 2lb 7 icon off eBay for the quicker bowlers and use the other for nets haha

That is a bit light for me!!  The Hero is 2 10 and the H4L is about 2 13 - and they both have low middles which I also prefer...

See how I get on, lightest I've used is 2.9. Higher middle suits me haha

2lb7 will be far too light for you then mate, you best send the icon my way!  ;)

Wait until it arrives then I'll have a play with it. No doubt I'll create my own topic and stop hijacking this one!

As previously said Dean looks like he's done a top job

Is Dean (possibly wasn't him) offering refurbs at £15 still? If so thats a fantastic job!

He is still offering them at £15, although this was a bit more than that due to the crack and work involved.  Total cost was £33 including postage back which I think is a bot of a bargain.
