I understand the reasoning but I think the timing is a bit off. Kinda of "we cant win so what's the point". I would have hoped he would have used the final games to try and go out on a high especially with such an amazing career behind him. He'll leave a big hole

Seems like a good time to give someone else a run considering the series is already gone. No point hanging on for two games to have a send off in my opinion.

wasn't expected to be during the series but i guess with the ashes lost its a good time to tryout some new spinners
