Ok so in Newcastle for the next couple of days and decided to visit just sports on the Clayton road
I am sure some of you may have visited this shop as cricket shops up this way are a bit few and far between
We'll 30 mins later I brought this hits hard super power grade 2 2lb 8 oz dead with face scuff sheet not the normal bigger scuff
Impressed....? Yes and when you consider this is less than 200 sheets
finishing is the best bar none IMO
Not the biggest edges but nice profile and old ball and mallet sounds lovely

The grotty mark was the price sticker any ideas on how to get of will be greatly received
-
tiny bit of nail varnish remover takes it off I think ?
looks like a lovely stick mate superb grains and just that blemish on the face marking it down to a grade 2, top grading at Salix as normal. is it your first from their workshops ?
-
Looks a beauty mate and your right these are finished to to the same standard as the Salix bats, no doubt performance will be amazing as well.
Just on the sticker a bit of your wife, mums, sisters etc nail polish remover will get rid of it completly

Grains fun straight through the toe as well mate so that's a stunning bat for the money.

No I had a tourque but sold it as couldn't get on with the shape
-
Nice bat there mate! Look like a a pretty decent size especially the spine for a 2lb 8oz.
Nail polish remover might damage the sticker I would have thought? Linseed oil also does the trick and a much safer bet.
-
If it plays anything like my Wasp G2 from IJC it'll be a cracker
-
Looks a big bat for 2.8 !
Good luck with it.
-
Why did Santa not partake in the last pic ???
-
everytime someone posts it makes me want to go home and take pics of all my kit, maybe a job for new years day !

The only thing with just sport is that the shop is like a jumble sale! There is stuff dumped everywhere, looks like they've had a break in

I can honestly say that all of the Ones going to Asad were bats packed with power & performance also some lovely looking bats in the power and super power range as well.

Surely all your hitshard bats are belters though Chris!! ;)

The ones that I've seen are!
- The one that Fattus has in his possession is a thing of wonder (erm, I think I know where Bruce is going to go given this inviting opening...)
-
Ignoring the proximity of my 'thing of wonder' to your inviting opening,
My hits hard is indeed exceptionally sexy, large and pingy and promises great things!
-
The HH bat Chris used as his match bat last year was lovely. He showed it to me in his spare room of cricketing goodness (no that's not a euphemism)

Well yes there all great bats to be sent to shops and to customers that visit the workshop, they have to be to be approved by Andrew. What I van say about Asad's bats having worked on them and tapped most up on the mallet is that some of the power grade bats absolutely flew off the mallet from ball 1.
If lie Asad you have the time and passion to test lots of different clefts for performance on aw of averages you will find some better than others at the initial stage although they will all be great bats some will be great quicker than others.

A few people on here used this at a net Brucie I think organised a month orso back at serious cricket and even by my biased standards it was commented on to be a superb bat.
That bat is the most powerful bat I have owned and will be the only bat I have ever owned to e my match bat two seasons running.
-
That's right Buzz - you can knock it in for me!
Those 4XI runs won't get themselves!

Noticed Batting 4 6 had one in with a set of softs - will have to have a look see (I do like the branding)

We have some new softs for next season not hugely different but will be here in new year

Everyone wanted to steal away with it...
which given the top quality bats in evidence on the evening tells its own story.

I was only messing, I bet they're all top notch mate. Gonna go to the jumble sale that is just sport for a look on Saturday! Hopefully they've got something 2.11 - 2.12
-
I am sure they have mine was about the lightest
-
As fromthehip kindly informed everyone that Just Sport had some Hitshard bats in stock I thought that it would be rude not to go and check them out!
Well there were 3 of the new brands bats in stock, all Super Power, I picked this one up and haven't put it down since!

Picked it up to put on the scales, thought it felt around 2.10. Weighed in at a touch under 2.11. As said previously the finishing on these bats is phenomenal, they are literally like glass. I have a CK22 also and the finishing on that resembles something from a builders merchant in comparison. The bat has 10 grains, slight wave in 4 of the grains at a very small blemish 3 inches up off the toe. Apart from that the blade is clean. Grains run fairly straight through the toe. The response off ball and mallet is really good. As soon as I bounced a ball off it in the shop I knew it was coming home.
I had read in another thread that some thought the stickers were 50's jukebox style and weren't fans. In the flesh the stickers are really classy, the hh is logo is embossed to add to the effect. Like I said I can't put it down, it feels very well balanced. Can't wait to get it knocked in and use it.
I also bought a torque g1 from lorimers earlier on in the week. I'll put some pics up of them side by side when I get it as they're knocking it in. It'll be a good comparison between the g1 & g2's from Salix.

Very nice, how much did this set you back?
-
It was £200 with the cover thrown in.
-
I've bought about a dozen bats in the past 3-4 months and this probably represents the best value for money.
-
Glad you got one
I took mine to vitas to be knocked in but I know feel like crying as I can't tap ball up or look at it in the corner
Defo good choice especially for the money
-
I'm going to enjoy knocking it in, just going to take my time
-
I'm in the process of moving house and renovating so haven't got time for this bat or my e41
Not sure mrs & daughter will be to happy that I've got two knocked in bats but no kitchen or bathroom.....
-
I can see that you'd get some grief for that, rotunda telly the wife works every other weekend and my little girl doesn't mind the noise so that's my knocking in time! I normally opt for the shop to knock them in if available too
-
Glad people are liking the HitsHard brand and quality of these bats. As I have said they are crafted to same exact standards as Salix bats by Andrew & Ben and myself as an apprentice.
Hopefully they will be popular this year
-
I'm sure once people see them in use they will be very popular
-
Got to admit i did not like the branding until i saw this bat today nice branding it has to be said.
Cheers for today mate
-
Loved the profile on JB's hits hard...seemed to go well also however I quite liked the profile
-
Cheers for today mate
No probs, I really enjoyed it! Except nearly killing Tony!!
In future I think his helmet is the last thing he removes while i'm batting!! haha
-
I seem to have missed the creation of hits hard. What's the idea behind it and the relation to salix?

Basically Hitsahard is a sister company to Salix. The bats are still handmade by Andrew & Ben with me working there as an apprentice. We offer fully handmade bats in 3 grades from Grade one, super power G2 and power G3.
The reason for it was it allows us to utilise some of the G2 & G3 clefts that are not used in the Salix range as the grading is so strict for the Salix range. HitsHard was around last season but from the workshop only and this year is available in cricket specialists that stock Salix. There is also a single range of softs and a duffle and wheelie bag. Images are available if you use the search function or look under the your kit section

Definitely 100% agree there haha! I'd definitely be up for some more nets if any of you's fancy it - oh and sorry I'm not the greatest with the sidearm...still trying to master it!
