Title: Slazenger Refurb
Post by: Middler on September 27, 2009, 05:09:45 PM
Does anybody know if Slazenger do their own refurbishments? If so how do I get hold of them to get it done?

Cheers

Sports direct own them and I wouldn't trust them with something like a cricket bat. I don't think they do them anyway because the Slazenger factory had shut down - its probs all Indian made.

Roger weston at solitaire cricket does refurbs (everything you want done) for about 25 (excluding p+p bothways).

Your right - they dont do them - they told me at the trade show but i've forgotten already, i think im right in saying that the refurbs are done in or around the nottingham area but i have a memory like a sieve at the moment.

go to craig maclean, hit4six on this forum and he does the best refurbs on bats ever, he sands around the stickers if you want to keep them and gets the bat back to you brand new for about £20

Cheers guys. It's my brothers bat, he got an SX Pro off a pro at Ponteland last year and it looks knackered. Any chance anyone knows where he could get some new SX stickers for it if he gets it fully refurbed?

That is why it would be best to use the official channels for this sort of thing.

So, would Charlie French have (or be able to get hold of) the stickers Talisman? If so, how do I get hold of him? Is he on this forum? Cheers.

Just Google him, he makes his own bats and does the repair work as a support to this. He would have all stickers needed.

two lads who used to work at slazenger when there bats were made in the uk now own the warrior range of gear based in wakefield west yorks, they do a lot of slaz bat repairs. theres a good chance they will have some stickers for the bat.

I've got an SXI Pro here and wouldn't mind stickers for it as I love the old Slaz stickers

Hi Richard, do you work for Warrior or have anything to do with them as you seem to be dragging up many old threads to post a Warrior reference.

Colly has his sticks made in India, Charlie French refurb's the bats in the UK. Some Slazenger players might have bats made elsewhere but some of the ones produced by Sondhi are incredible.

I had loads of bats from Richard Wensley in the 90's, some about absolute crackers, he did like to make an odd shape or 2, never got 2 the same.

Just odd to drag up many dead topic's.

Bit of a long shot fellas as this thread is nearly 6 years old.

Looking to give my 2016 edition V800 a refurb over the winter but would like a New set of stickers and the matching grip.

Does anyone know if slazenger offer a refurb service or tried via Charlie French.

Many thanks.

Bit of an update.

As previous posts in this thread contacted Charlie French and he advised that Slazenger had taken their refurb service back in house. So contacted slazenger through their basic website contact details and they advised they didn't offer the service.

Can any of the forum sponsors Asad, Vitas ? Help me wit a contact for their slazenger rep.

Many thanks.
