Title: Machining and pressing.
Post by: buddyb on January 02, 2014, 06:15:36 PM
So today, I've finally had the chance to get into my man cave and work on a few bits and pieces. Today's aim was to make some new jigs to machine the blades and to do some pressing. Only a gentle bow to the blade. (Also before someone says there is a split near the handle but it's on the surface and will be gone when I start drawing the shape)

Be nice to see your jig for cutting in the splice. I'm imagining a two piece pivoting affair with stop pins and clamps etc.

The blade splicing jig is very simple. I would be amazed at home simple it is. I will upload an imagine at some point. Same with the handle. And yes it's a bandsaw I'm using with a 20mm blade.
