No a very good pic but here are my Puma 6000's....were a pain to spray and the paint keeps coming off / sticking to other gear in the bag...might have something to do with whatever material Puma use to make their pads...anything that feels more cloth like is better to paint than say Puma/GM type pads.

Dave

Id use a plastic primer if ur spraying them as it will help adhere the paint to the pads once sprayed. You can get it it B&Q for about £8 so worth using as the undercoat before adding colour as its transparent.

Would it be worth sanding a bit to rough up the surface so the primer/paint sticks better??
(Just an idea and I only haven't sprayed pads before, going on painting a car haha)

No mate you don't need to rough them up as that would show through the paint otherwise as its quite thin when spray painting coats on.

The less paint you can use whilst getting complete coverage the better to avoid paint runs etc.

Tbh I would just get clads incase you ruin your pads...also if you move clubs after this one you can get another pair of clads and still use the same pad for T20

Yeah, a vinyl dye was mooted as an option in another thread. I used ordinary spray paint and a can of clear coat....seemed to do the trick

Wouldn't trust dye not to come out and ruin the rest of ur kit, if some sweats gloves etc are thrown in with them could cause issues.

It's a pretty straight forward procedure, there are steps outlined by Tushar in an older thread. The hardest/most tedious part will be to stick the plastic bags on the back of the pad. Just can't apply too much at once, otherwise the paint will run.

How many coloured clothing games do you play a season Dave ? Is it worth the hassle ? assume you use a red ball in these games as well ?

Thats the only thing I did wrong, I have also colored an older ayrtek (Was green originally, purchased from CD) to Blue and was a much better job...guess I just got over confident with the pads :-[....contemplating removing the color off the pads and re-spraying but don't have the time to do the research or put in effort at the moment...

o right that is great then Dave and definitely worth the hassle. You have black sight screens and everything ? what competition is that in ?

Our lass dyes her jeans, and still washes them with other clothes and it doesn't mix, would abit of sweat really make that much issues.
