Just wanted to say thank to Jake for my new bat and do a quick (and not too detailed) review.

To some it may not be anything special, but I am highly impressed with this. It's a GM Six6 404.

It might not be the prettiest bat to some, but to me it has character which I do like (I know that probably seems strange to most of you who like a perfectly clean face)
Now the important bits. It weighs 2lb10 with 1 and a half grips, picks up about 2lb8 (the Six6 has impressed me on the ones I've picked up)
There are 6 or 7 grains depending where you count from (one being right on the edge) and I feel this would have been graded a fair but higher were it not for the marks on the right handlers inside edge. (Does anyone know what they are by the way??)

I had a net with this tonight, and my word does it ping! I timed a cover drive that I didn't feel come off the bat, and nearly killed the bowler and 2 people lining up to bowl with a straight drive (that'll teach them to watch the net!)
Afterwards I even had someone try to buy it from me.
I've been really impressed with the lower end GMs this year and this is an example of a bargain for £80

				Nice, bat.

I quite like them wavy marks on the inside edge, never seen marks like it before though.

I loved it when I saw the first picture, but I love a nice blemish on the face of a bat. No idea why but it adds to the appeal and charm of the willow to me.

Glad you are pleased mate, developing a nice little collection of 404's :)

Can't grumble with that at all especially for £80. Jake always seems to deliver! I will make my own thread once I get my final piece of equipment from Jake in the next week or so!
