Title: Inner thigh pad X strap
Post by: WalkingWicket37 on January 10, 2014, 11:53:01 PM
Now a while back it was discussed on here how to stop a Foxy inner thigh pad from creeping, and it was suggested to try an X shaped strap.
George made one from the towelled strap and sent the trial strap to me along with some fat man straps.
Having used the strap in a few games and a net I feel I am able to give honest feedback having done a thorough test.

First impression
It's a strap for an inner thigh pad, we all know the quality of George's work so what's more to say.

Trying on
Now I'm by no means thin (in fact I'm a fat git!) so I have chunky legs. The new strap fitted me perfectly. George knows I'm a bit heavier than I should be so I'm confident he would make a strap to suit each person. That's one of the great things about Stretton fox products, they're truly individual.

First use
The first use these had was an indoor game where I was only in for an over because the openers batted like Boycott. I ran every ball and there was no creep at all, but I didn't feel this was a long enough trial period to post a review

Subsequent indoor games
I've had a few innings of wearing these for indoor games and I can safely say the problem I had with creep is gone, the X strap does exactly what it was designed to to, thank you George.

And a net session
I only had a fifteen minute bat but I played sweep shots and others I don't play indoors. I can now confirm the inner thigh pad does not move at all and I've tested it in games and playing a pretty wide range of shots in the nets.

In short this does work as it was meant to, so I'd recommend you ask for one when you get your foxy guards.
A big thanks to George for letting me test this for him, I hope my findings are useful for you.

Post up a picture to show the x-strap in all it's glory.

Pics?

I've safety pinned my inners top loop, to the outer thigh pads strap. And then strapped as normal and suffer no creep.

Pics as requested, excuse the poor quality, had to try and take pictures myself while modelling them!
