Title: OnlineStockist.com?
Post by: 400notout on September 29, 2009, 09:54:57 AM
Has anyone on the forum used online stockist from the UK? Would be nice to get some feedback on service, quality of goods, and also postage etc, any help would be great.

Cheers

Postage takes around two weeks, just be aware the products you buy from Online Stockist aren't the same as the ones pictured on the website they are indian versions of the products which i don't rate as highly

I cant post pictures as i ordered them for a friend, They had a cheap 3 piece knee roll not the quality knee roll in the UK versions, as well as having different sort of protection (not canes)  The gloves were split finger and square is in design and didn't look great

But all in all were they the bargain that they were made out to be?

Would they have been the Aus versions of the gloves, seem to remember them being a bit like that? If i was going to buy anything from there it would be a bat, probably SG, any reviews?

Ask M19.

m91 would be preferable - don't see how anyone can get from m19 to me (lekka said it wrong but hey!)

So online stockist - great company, must say. Firstly, they are genuine. Bought loads of stuff off them to sell on and no complaints. yet.

Stuff seems genuine - if you go onto the Kookaburra website and click on Kookaburra India you will see that the gear is different to OZ and UK. Prices are also about half (wont say on website but they are, otherwise no Indian would be able to afford it). So if they are fakes, they are extremely good fake but the chances are that they are 100% kosher.

If you are thinking of buying from them, I don't see why anything should stop you.

Has anybody had a custom off of them? A G1 bat for £82 isnt bad at all!

the £30-60 postage (to UK) means that it will cost £112-142 + tax (oh yes! customs hold your tiemsend you a letter asking you to pay the taxes first). So thats a grand total of £131-166

LOL

You would be better off getting a custom made Solitaire cricket bat for £115 (15 for p+p). Not only will it be made by a more skilled bat maker (Roger Weston - made bats for Beefy, Hicky and Viv) but it will also be made in England, which always helps in case something happens in transit

Haven't bought off Online Stockist, but it shouldn't be much more than a tenner for shipping for a 2kg bat from India. Also M19 the batmakers Ajit uses are very skilled.

Postage is £11 for a bat to england within 2 working days!

Sorry tom - yuor right - it was £30 when I ordered so I assumed it would be one rate. clearly not.

In that case its £108 after shipping and taxes. So its slightly cheaper than Solitaire.

EDIT - What Aidy. how comes you didn't have to pay taxes? I got a letter from customs saying they were holding my item and would only forward it until I paid the 15% tax

This may not represent him fully however after 5 weeks I demanded a refund through Paypal as he would not reply to messages and had not sent the item. Through his FB site I also contacted 2 other parties that had the same problem and got a refund. Worst experience ever!

Unless he has it in stock (request a photo), you will never know how long it may take, dont be fooled!
