Anyone got any views on how the Puma cricket shoe sizes come up against real shoe sizes? I used to have a pair of Pumas that were bloody comfy, and I thought they fitted alright - ie size for size.
However, I have to go a size up in Asics and Adidas.
Anyone any views?

I am a size 8 and a half for best fit,
Adidas I have to go 9
PUMA, slazenger, Nike, kookaburra, reebok I wear an 8 and a half.

So Puma match your actual shoe size and you have to go half a size or a size up in Adidas?

Don't have anything specifically about Puma cricket shoes but I take an 8 in their running shoes (and in everyone else's).
Asics and Adidas on the other hand, 8 in their running shoes and 8.5 in their cricket shoes.

Like for like for me and i have a couple of pairs, really comfy plus they look good as well.

i am size 10 and have wide feet, puma feel quite small width wise whereas Asics are fine. I think its because Asics have mesh at the front where as puma is full on plastic (mine split from crouching/wicketkeeping)
if you have wide feet, i think boots with mesh at the front are best

I had a pair of the Puma Calibre convertible shoes, and like the GarrettJ, found them quite tight across the foot. I am a 10, but had to take an 11 to find a degree of comfort in the width.

CatMan,
I have the evospeeds and they are a slighty tighter fitting than the adidas I sold you. But, they are a better shoe than the lites, more leather, comfier fit. I would say that the pumas need breaking in and although a tighter fit than the adidas they are now nice n cosy n comfy.

I'd agree with those who have found puma shoes to be narrow. Bought a pair acouple of years back and they felt very tight.

I got the Puma Ballistic shoes (Green and white ones) and knowing that Puma's have a tighter fit i ordered one size bigger.
But it didn't work out, it was a bit big for me and I have wide feet as well.

I'll go to a real life cricket shop and try a pair on - after that i might try talking to a real girl too.

In Asics I'm a 9.5
In puma trainers and golf shoes I'm a 9.5
Hope this helped mate.
And good luck with this real life stuff :D

So would it be a fair assumption that if a pair of size 8 asics are a little to big a pair of 7.5 puma would be a good fit?
