Title: My new thruxton player

First time poster! After a long illness I'm getting back into cricket again, and have bought some new equipment for the coming season, including my newbery thruxton player which I'm loving so far.

My question is I know I need to knock it in for several hours but want to know if it needs oiled etc also, if so will probably send away and get several preparation things done at once.

Couple of mins/hrs knocking in the toe and edges then onto some throw downs or bowling machine should do.

Post by: chrisbd on January 14, 2014, 09:09:50 PM: Alexarmitage, we at IJC would advise a couple, maybe three hours knocking in, mostly on the toe and edges, ensuring that the edges are rounded off nicely. Alternatively, if you wish for us to do this, we can take care of all your preparation needs. The knocking in service is £17.50 + return postage, and we can add toe guards, grips etc at the same time for a little extra.

Sorry about photos but I'm on my iPad, might borrow a mates laptop and upload some pictures, but is deffo a great bat for the money. I believe the place I bought it from has finished stock as the five star and players were on sale but they still have the beauty of the sps.

Managed to figure out how to upload photos using the iPad.

My thruxton is at IJC being knocked In, and in the meantime I bought another players as I love the response from my first one!

Just got it five mins ago and here are some photos before it's send to IJC also.

It's not the prettiest bat but for the price I got it also I am not complaining!!

The back isn't as attractive, but who cares?! Looking forward to knocking this one in! :)
