Title: Spikes
Post by: littlemaster on January 18, 2014, 02:56:36 PM
I have Adidas's SL2's from last season. I bowl seam with them, getting quite a bit of pace, and a bit of bounce.

Will these spikes be ok for 10-14 overs of bowling per game and support my feet or is it worth getting some proper bowling shoes?

Most spikes do a job. The most important thing is orthopedic insoles to go in them to support the arches.

I usually bowl 14-16 over spells and sometimes can bowl 26 overs on the trot (I am an off-break bowler). I wear bowling boots due to a schoolboy ankle injury and they are great for support of the ankle but I would say the insoles are the most important thing in making sure your feet stay in top condition.
