Morning Guys,
For various reasons, we have decided to make a major change to our knocking-in service. From February 1st onwards, we won't be able to knock in any bats bought from other stores. From this point forward, the only bats we will knock in will be those purchased from us. That service will still all be done by hand, and will still cost just £12.50 extra.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, but hope you understand that offering this service for non-IJC bats is not sustainable at this moment in time. Here is the link on our website for more details: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/bat-care-knocking-in-service-i37 (http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/bat-care-knocking-in-service-i37)
Thanks,
Paul

Sounds fair to me :)

Oh no! I still need to run my Newbery round, put that on next weeks checklist!

The neighbours finally complained .
-
It's their decision..... you can't knock it :)
-
Understandable given the demand because it really is a great and thorough service. Just a shame because IJC are very handy for me!
-
I don't think that this will affect me really Paul :)

bad!

No, the neighbours didn't complain actually - they are never in when we do all our knocking-in!
In a nutshell, we just can't keep up with the demand and would rather spend our time concentrating on other things...

pretty sensible really.500 bats a year must get a bit tedious.

At £12.50 for possibly 4 hours knocking in it isn't cost effective. Unless of course you pay your employees half the minimum wage.
I can see the reason for taking a hit on cost if you can sell a bat at the same time and cover it with the margin made on the bat.
