Here is my latest Thruxton. 2lb 11.4. Flatter face than my other Thruxtons and also much bigger edges (38mm). It also has a much much bigger spine (pictured). It is a big bat but still picks up very well. Interestingly there are no shoulder stamps.

Did Shaq tell you this is genuine when he sold it to you? ;)

Bought it on ebay. At first I thought they had just tweaked the Thruxton shape a bit. I have seen Thruxtons listed with edges up to 40mm so I guess the size with them really depends on the weight. It is balanced just like the other Thruxtons. Pick up feels the same so I think the swell is in the right place.
But the lack of stamps. I don't know if this means it was a custom.

Well its def genuine Newbery and it's right in your weight range. Ping is unbelievable. We can do a swap. I'll take the SCAT, an Affinity and the e41 for this bat. Deal??

Looking good mate, I can't wait to get mine back from Paul at IJC, will post some photos when I get them.

How do you find the difference in performance from the sps to the player?

Alex.

Newbery custom bats often don't have stamps apparently. I have a Newbery custom with Uzi stickers which isn't stamped.

The SPS is def a bit better but there is not much in it. The Player was from IJC so they would have handpicked it I guess. They did a good job.

If you bought it off Brimble he sold in stamped ones I'm lead to believe
