Hi guys
I am needing help on this. I am in the process of knocking in a gm octane original le f2 when i realised a surface crack about 1cm wide. And if anybody has experienced this or knows about this
-
might be best if you could post a photo or give a little bit more info mate. im sure there plenty of guys here who can assist if they can see what your talkign about
-
1cm wide or long? a crack 1cm wide would be like the grand canyon on a cricket bat!
-
1cm wide is almost 10% of the bat!
Some small opening up with the grain(less than a mm), usually just means it's opening up. A good thing,

If the crack runs down the grain you've got a potentially good bat.
If its across the grains you've possibly hit it too hard and it needs a lot more knocking in.
