So England vs aus. 3 of the top 4 batsmen using the gm six 6. A shape apparently created by/for joe root.
Is this a advertisement campaign by gm, go all out on promoting the new bat and make sure all the big guns use it? (It is a great bat)
Is it merely coincidence and lumb and hales like the shape feel?
And do we think gm have missed a trick? They could stick some stickers in the posts and have one as An purist/icon/octane?
Also used by graeme smith(albeit his looks a hero stickered as a six6) not sure who else.

Jesus, you must be bored to come up with a post like this! ;)
-
Very bored. When at week 6 of a ruptured spleen recovery. You go stir crazy.
Atleast it's cricket based. Maybe I should just spam the forum with "footloose or top gun?" "Worst film" "best album" etc etc
I'd probably get some replies to that sort of (No Swearing Please).
-
Ouch!
Fingers crossed you're back for the new season.
Out of interest, what is your fave album? Top 5 TV hotties? Top 10 drinking games? Top 5 movies?
When will it end!

"Spam the forum" - hahahahahahah!
I've been posting this kind of (No Swearing Please) on the forum since before you were an itch in your daddy's pants!! Get over yourself and have post-spleen fun! :D

Spamming since the 80's you say? Do you also go by the name readers digest?
-
No - The Peoples Friend.
(Do they still do Readers digest?)

GM did a similar thing with the Icon, granted that is a versatile and liked shape but a lot of faith was placed into that range too.
-
Have you a Six6 yet?
-
Me? Not yet ;)

Have you a Six6 yet?
I love the shape! I've got 2 ;)

allegedly Joe Root doesnt use a GM made bat.

Woohho' my poor thread is active, I thank fattus for his presence for that. Good man.
Hales was using an icon?
On research correct you are, which shows a) my eyesight is poor, b) that gms new stickers aren't easy to distinguish from a distance(my telly is 42 inch, so can't blame a small telly) c) because gm sent joe root to use a octane for the t20 he's just decided he prefers the six6 feel for all games. That this thread is a fail and indeed gm did send 3 different bats for the game.
Doh

allegedly Joe Root doesnt use a GM made bat.
I saw read and was told this. Due to a video on YouTube, where his octane was not octane shaped.
But
I've also read and been told(last one more important) that gm are Very strict with there pro's, they use gm bats only, and refuse to make bats for pros no longer under there sponsorship.
But they will alter and change a shape to suit a batsmen, and sticker it up under the model there meant to be using,
The source then told me look at Shane Watsons zona, joe roots octane and his old icon for proof.
On recent games, both test, odi and t20, joe roots six6 looks the same shape as my six6, so have no reason to believe it Isn't gm.
Also add, the icon is similar shape to six6(concaved) so can see why I confused hales for it.......

Joe root had an octane today
He needed it to be a super long long handle though...........
