They are just up the road from me. I go to the shop fairly regularly to pick up bits and bobs. There are loads of the bats around the Hertfordshire League. Haven't seen many bad ones to be fair. They do make their bats, and do a fair amount of repair work as well. You can get them custom, and the quality of the ones I have seen on site are very good. Quite like the softs too.
-
I had one in for weight removal it was a nice bat but it didn't look English made, I maybe wrong though
-
Went there pre season and got Black Prince blade, gloves and pads and impressed with all....good service and helpful info at the time,i`d recommend
-
Captain of our uni side sweared by choice bats - good bits of willow when they were in one piece, but they fell apart like it was going out of fashion - perhaps a poor pressing coupled by a lack of knocking in?
-
how much do they cost? i can't find prices on the website...
-
I have a catalogue somewhere from this season. I'll dig it out and post some prices for you. I think their G1s start at around £160
-
mine was £160 but there were 2 more expensive options beyond that..
-
Choice willow website doesn't have any pictures, so here you go. Stuff lokos great. lokos suspiciously similar to hunts though....

got me a Black Prince G1 for £160,and would recommend....Lion heart gloves with Kevlar panels on bottom hand, black prince pads and a pair of batting trousers...all n`all, very impressed and gear of a high quality
-
where did you get that from? the stuff looks quality....like the softs a lot
-
their online shop isnt available at the moment :(
-
I had a feel of one, it was weighted horribly
-
i just want softs
-
the gear is very nice, but at the same time too expensive. There is not the technology that you would expect for £50. Same with Duncan Fearnley -top of the range £50 gloves are made from flipping calf leather. i mean wtf.
-
My bradburys arent pittards and they were £50 and I love them

Just because a £50 pair of gloves have not got pittards does not make them a bad pair of gloves.

I did not say that its makes the gloves worse. I said that it is not worth the money you are paying for it. I could get a pair of blade strike for under £20 and they woul have the same materials are the Duncan Fearnley top of the range ftec gloves
-
Do you know anything about what goes into a glove apart from the palm? How is a Blade Strike as good as the Fearnley's if so? What foam, padding, pu etc is used in each?
-
i dont care what goes into my glove....as long as i find it comfy and provides enough padding and protection same woth pads and that is why i liked choice

The thing which dictates the price the most is the palm though!
-
i dont like the browny colour palms, do you reckon if i rung up and asked they could change to white?

lol tommo. you know every single company (non Asian that is) get there softs made overseas in India or Pakistan. There is no way they will be able to change it just for you! anyway coloured palms are good as they take longer to show the wear and tear. white palms go yellowy after a season.
-
no i know that....just read back how stupid it sounded.....but they do look wierd hence why i wood prefer white palms but may have to pay 50 quid for em
-
M91, the palms are not the biggest cost factor in gloves, unless you can prove me wrong with a breakdown, I've looked at Pittards leather in the Pittards factory and it could be if people went for the really pricey stuff, but they don't. I quite like the Black palms as in the Malik gloves.
-
Pittards leather is not that expensive to use when replacing Sheep/Lamb skins. I personally feel that using gloves with Pittards leather + a cricket bat handle fitted with an Xtrax grip is the perfect combo.
-
Blatant product drop there.... I can tell that because I'm feeling refreshed and alert after drinking a chilled can of Red Bull, its gives you wiings!!
-
Nought like an Ice Cristal.
-
I thought you'd be more a crystal meth man.
-
does anyone no when the online shop for these will be working?

The day they approach and serve meth in a flute at my table , I shall commission a portrait.

Batting Style: Nudge it around
-
I disagree Apple, i've used these grips on numerous bats and found that they still gripped well even when wet - but thats my experience anyway.
-
I have never tried them, I played at bit of hockey at school and it didnt feel to great, but i guess that it was a worn out stick.

Maybe some confusion , these grips should be used with batting gloves.
-
Yes but when you feel a octo grip in your hands you No it will grip, with that it was slipping through my hands.
-
Maybe apply a resin extract to the palms of your gloves.
