It is the working name for a small batmaker near me, he is not sure yet what to call his brand, he is on the forum as SillyShilly.
-
I should add that he will make a bat for free beer, hence the name.
-
oh right, do you do softs?
-
Me? no.
-
SillyShillyFreeBeerBats
Does he know IWorkForCider
-
yeah i was on about you talisman, but if you dont oh well. I was just looking towards new season and wondered what kit is iout there rather than buying from big 4

Not sure but I have heard of SandItDownDaPub, Oxfordshire based with a drum sander set up on the back bar.
-

Aha, Hope not as cider is dirty stuff !
-
ahhh, that's "IWorkforScrumpy" he/she is not as clear as IWorkForCider and slightly more dangerous
Off topic again..... so here goes to get back on track
I'm surpised there is no mention of Laver & Wood or Julian Millichamp yet....

Yes Norb - he does know IWorkForCider, some say a little too well.
Unfortunately, SillyShillyFreeBeerBats filed for liquidation early last week.
Happily, SillyShillyPayByCashBats will be up and running in the not to distant future, much better business plan this time.
Favourite small time cricket brand has to be bulldog :)

Nope but it has been picked up on in the past about re-opening old threads and that...
Just a little pointer, I'm not laying down the law just it has been mentioned in the past and I thought I'd pass it on.
Tbf this is a good thread, so I can't blame him for posting in it looking back :)
I'd go with Instinct now ;)
Closely followed by Talisman
And then Redback/H4L/SAF really not sure...
-
I'd go for SAf, Bulldog and Instinct. All are small brands who are not full time focussed on the brand (as I understand it) and deserve ask the support they can get!
-
All indian brands followed
by
chase
instinct

Laver&Wood
Fusion
Supersports
Ok, so I've already answered, but I think it's fair enough to add a new answer 2 years down the line.
Laver&Wood still stands
Fusion was only really their softs, who I've since found out were made by Robinsons (whether or not they still are, I don't know)
SuperSports are still good, but haven't used them for a while
Hell4Leather softs are nice.
Loving Charlie French bats at the moment (just need to work on actually OWNING my own)
