Title: TON Duffle Bag
Post by: Vitas Cricket on February 10, 2014, 01:58:41 PM

We got a couple of these in stock for the forum event we hosted on Saturday, Soulman took one leaving us with a solitary bag. The main delivery comes in March but we managed to grab a couple on our recent trip to TON.

They really are a fantastic bag. A hard back panel means they stand up very well, fantastic build quality and a very good design with two bat sleeves in the main compartment and more than enough room for loads of kit.. The GN1000 duffle has been our most popular bag by quite a distance, but this one could be a contender.

£40 with free delivery.

Are these the same as the CK22 Duffles?

Don't know for sure as i've never seen a CK22 in the flesh. Looks similar though.

Is this a duffle or stand up bag, after a big strong duffle but not sure what to get???

Its a duffle. But it stands up thanks to a sturdy backplate and stable base.

It's also very big, more than enough room to accommodate all the gear of most kit badgers, even wicket keepers :)

Any chance of a side and back pics please

In my opinion this is currently the best bag on the market. Fits all my batting, keeping gear plus helmet, shoes and whites and stands up perfectly. And the price is amazing.

How much padding is there in the straps and back? Can't see a photo from that side.

very well padded straps and good on the back, it feels alot lighter than you expect and like soulman i can fit whites, spikes, 2 bats (in the bat pockets inside), all my batting and keeping gear and there is room for a little more

No one knows why, but I think there is no demand for ruffles in aus. There was a conversation on this thread where I asked the same question: http://www.custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=29984

I think it is because no one takes public transport to a game, so a duffle is not needed.

Might be on to something there, I used the woodworm one for about half a season but just got sick of it and went for a large bag instead

Also bags are a lot cheaper in Australia. I have a kook pro players 1 that I got for $100. It is a bit big, but it should last for a while.

Ample amounts, really. Only just clicked after using this bag for a few weeks how good the straps and particularly the weight distribution are. I even ride with it on my bike in comfort 8-)

The entire back panel and the straps are nicely padded.

10 more duffles now ready to go. There were only 20 or so left at TON HQ when we visited yesterday so this is likely to be our last stock for the year. Grab 'em while they're hot!

guilty!!

My current wheely has started disintergrating round the bottom corners where it catches on teh ground (wheely wobble).  Also noticed that the bottom of one of the bat sleeves has a split so it was just a matter of time.

These seem to be getting a good review so why not!

Now sold out, great bag, has ended up outselling the GN1000 by quite a distance.

That's probably because the GN1000 hasn't been available for months! Of the two, I think I prefer the Gray-Nicolls bag, but still the CK22 is the best duffle in my eyes...
