Title: Newbery Kudos
Post by: ianbuchanan on February 15, 2014, 06:29:46 PM
Decided to get a new bat today after 3 years of using my 3lb 2oz M&H. Gone for a real change, and the first time I've bought a non- M&H bat for 5 years!

Weighs around 2'11 and has a fairly big profile and edges. 11 grains across the face with a large strip of heartwood, it does have a few blemishes but this could be why it's been graded as a 'Player' instead of an 'SPS'

Taps up very nicely!

Price- £220

Great choice, lovely stickers and profile. I currently believe my kudos is the best performing bat I've ever owned.

Cheers Marky boy! Will take some getting used to!

Encouraging to hear that John! The only thing I'm worried about is the performance but I'm sure it will be ok

Nice looking bat, I'm sure it will perform as well as your M&H. Aren't they both made by the same guy?  ;)

Haven't really used this one too much to be honest, way too light for me! Ended up buying a 3lb 7oz warsop on the forum which is much more suited to me

3lb 7oz is huge. Must look like a raw cleft with a handle in it!

Biggest bat I have seen in a store is 3lb 6oz. It didn't look as big as a tree trunk, but it made a 3lb bat look small.
