To clear something up each different design has it own unique number so that if you like the bat you have and want a exact replica then the number is the library number so you can get exactly the same again .
They start at
1000

Can you re create the trott profile using the online custom tool? 1271 isn't it?

Nope. The custom configurator only gives you 3 options to change. Profile, edge spine. And there are only 6 varieties in each section.
The 4digit Number is for bespoke bats
1271 is merely the file number on Streakys computer that contains the trott profile.
Meaning he was the 271st bespoke bat that was design.
-
Not far wrong but not entirely true my first custom made from the online tool is 1000
Each different bat is given a number so that the customer can re order the exact bat again and again.
Nope Nick as Chris says there only so many changes allowed through the tool and the 1271 is a bespoke design made by a certain player. Even the db series will have a number to re create the stock shapes
It is a catalogue number so you can order again and again the same spec bat.

So could we ask for a 1271 design bat to be made up for ourselves?
Spoke with the B3 team at Headingley expo, Rob Cook to be precise, seemed to be nice chaps, and Rob landed himself a nice little job with them, I'm extremely jealous.
And those keeping gloves are seriously seriously good
-
Yes you could indeed mate get the 1271 because it is a saved design
Agree about the gloves I think there the best on the market bar nothing and the people I have showed seem to agree
-
Picked one up at the expo, the lightest bat I've ever picked up for its size. Felt bloody amazing
-
So you see why I use them I like a big yet light bat
-
A great use of technology.
Dave, because each cleft is different, is it fair to assume that the bat makers will select the cleft which works best for the designated profile?
-
The cleft is choosen before it is machined because that's b3 speciality which no other Cnc machiner can they know the finish weight before they start nobody else can do it and there improving the technique all the time.
I can't speak highly enough about them some people think because it a machine made bat it is just push a button and bing bang wallop and it certainly
The bats dimensions are set at 1271 but the weight can change depending on what you want and order
-
Ok so if I ask for 1271 and they make a bat for me will that bat have its own number or will it have 1271 on it.
