I am seeking a helmet, After ramping the ball into my nose I have decided its time to wear a helmet!
Problem...... When I have tried any teammates on the come no where near fitting!
My head measures a good 62 cm.......... Has anyone had experience of buying a big helmet???
-
We have had customers with a 65cm head purchase from our range before without any issues.
-
Cheers Guys, May pop to all rounder for a look at some...........
-
all these massive helmets .... expect some randy lonely housewives to be joining soon and sending weird private messages

Ha
If only the theme continued from my head!

I have had the same problem but my head is slightly smaller at 59cm. The large Masuri - which is what I wear will definitely be too small for you, the new albions are very generous and will fit you. Try an Ayrtek on - it may fit but I struggled as even with the inflatable liner it sat too high on my head.

Cheers Cow,,,,,,,,,,, where they is sit also issue for me, as I think my head is quite long!
I play at a poor standard, but our firsts are a good side so could do with one for nets.

Hi Nudgemaster, I'm a big head too, coming in at the 63cm end. My biggest problem with the older masuri was where the grill sat, basically, it left my chin unprotected. As a result, I moved to the Ayrtek and it is a much better fit.
Key with the Ayrtek is doing the strap up properly. Most people who find it rides too high on the head haven't got the strap tightened properly. That usually resolves the riding high issue.

If your head is long then the Ayrtek should be fine and if it fits I'd go for that one - the new albion grills sit very close to your chin which could lead to a painful grill to chin incident. And you can customise the ayrtek to your hearts content. And their customer service is very good so it's a win, win, win!

all this talk of large helmets just made me get mine out while i was tiding the attic i have a 63cm head. i put an adults ball straight through the gap so adjusted it to fit and now the grill basically rest on my chin.
as im going to aswani next week i will definitely be trying one on. i think i didnt try it on properly before as it just sat on the top of my head.

I've got quite a meatball head and always found a masuri just didn't fit. Tried an ayrtek and haven't looked back. The air bad lining fits around my head with ease and I personally find it much more comfortable than the masuri.
-
Albion buddy. Although never tried an ayrtek.
-
I've got a 62/63cm head and couldn't get an Ayrtek or Masuri to sit comfortably no matter what I tried. So I tried the largest Albion Ultimate 98 and it fitted beautifully and very, very comfortable.

I use the largest Albion with the same size head mate and have no problems whatsoever, The visibility through the grill could be better, but that's on the whole with albion lids IMO.

I don't tend to watch the ball so I can't say I've really noticed haha :D
