The new G2 Spitfire looks classy and at under £30 those hurricane gloves should go very quickly!!
-
Love those spitfire pads! Bats are also made by a very good brand so should sell well also
-
Is ther anywhere stocking those gloves at the moment, I already want a pair !!
-
Their gear is sooooo nice!
We talk about Hammer and Affinity putting time, effort and thought into their gear, but in my view... You'd find it difficult to find much nicer than that :)
Something about those softs says 'Millichamp' to me. Gorgeous
-
That Lancaster looks a lovely shape for me.

I'd say talent cricket as that's where the pics are from,
-
cheers, theyre on there... going to order a pair soon I think !!

Sweet, do a review when they come.
-
Will Do :)
-
Significantly cheaper than the above mentioned brands as well. Classy Softs as always from Willostix
-
Willostix softs are always top notch performance wise, and I always like their looks.
-
Anyone done a review on the Hurricanes? Searched can't find anything......?
-
Think I prefer the spitfire stickers from last year. Much prefer it, but the softs are really nice
-
They have replaced the logos on their pads and gloves but are essentially the same. Good softs they are nevertheless !. Served me well.
-
I'm not sure about using the same Williostix font on the Spitfire as well as the Indian made bats looks good.
Last year there was a defined difference between the Salix made Spitfire and Indian made (others). Losing that is a retrograde step in brand building.
I have a pair of last years gloves from Paul @IJC. They are very similar to the hurricanes and are very good. They are a bargain.
This if course does assume that Salix are still making the Spitfire. I wont know until I see one.
-
That one is the original though isn't it? Thought Salix made the Classic which has the Branding/Etching on the front

I've not seen the classic.
The 2013 Spitfire with and without the etching are Salix bats. The finishing and hole in the toe (excuse the non-technical term) give it away.

That one is the Spitfire Mk 1 which is grade 2. The original and classic are still there too - I only put up the pictures of the Mk 1 as it's new for this year. Also I checked the descriptions and the Mk 1 says handmade in England so it doesn't look like any of the spits are Indian made!

I'm sure Salix must be making some of them as your sparring partner (SOULMAN) commented on Paul IJC's thread about the Willostix bats being delayed.
-
lovely looking stickers imo, like the spitfire gloves too

Met with Andy from Willostix on friday and their website will be updated soon. Saw all of the new range and they look great in the flesh. Most of the softs are still on route so don't believe any place has them yet (although i could be wrong). I know a lot of retailers are chomping at the bit for them so as soon as they arrive I'm sure you'll get them asap. Also you want to make sure you get some in the first shipment
-
This is the Spitfire Classic from their website (not sure if it is the updated 2014 model but the front and side is similar to the Talent Cricket pictures). Really like this design.

Agree with previous comments that the Willo STIX font clashes with the aircraft name style on the non-Classic bats.
In fact it clashes with itself, no doubt on purpose to be a bit "out there".
Certainly room for a brand like this, they have followed some of the fun marketing style of the Spitfire beer by Shepherd Neame.

I phoned them up today to discover that they will be getting the Spitfire Pads in Youths too...
I'm a happy bunny, they look absolutely incredible!

Ian, any chance of finding out for us when the stuff will actually be in stock in the barn?
It's not far from me, so I'd like to see it first hand.
-
I can ask for you but from memory the softs will be in stock early-mid march depending on customs.
I'm actually just running through the new products for their website
-
If anyone hasn't seen our Facebook page already, I was at Willostix yesterday, and picked out these lovely bats whilst I was there...

Most of the blank bats are the Spitfire Classics, and have been sent off to the engravers today. Should be with us within two weeks. The other bats should be with us early next week. Softs are due in in late March. I suspect Talent Cricket only has them up for pre-order...
I have already made my feelings on the Spitfires well known, but should add that the Lancaster really impressed me - they have a lovely shape, zero concaving and are all heavy! Lightest one I saw was 2.13! Good to have a specific heavy bat that isn't gimmicky or a T20 specialist bat etc.
-
talent have these in stock as a mate of mine got one today although not sure which one
usually talent get there gear early as they are a big player

They will have some bats, but doubt they have the softs as even Willostix didn't have any in the barn yesterday!

What Paul said, the softs are in a container on a boat right now
-
If they decide to dock at Falmouth for whatever reason, I'm happy to look after the shipment for them...
-
really like the spitfire pads they are nice and clean looking, nice job
-
These bats and more are due to arrive in our shop tomorrow. Can't wait to get these in - I've been having some nasty Spitfire Classic withdrawal symptoms of late!!
A real weight range here, from 2.6 up to 2.15!

We have Spitfire Classics in 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 and some Spitfire Originals in 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8...
And, for the stronger cricketers out there, we have some 2.13, 2.14 and 2.15 Lancasters, which have 39-40mm edges and convex profiles...
I will add photos on request...
