After seeing Over Gully's bat I have been wanting one for ages. Talked to the guys at Muelman's in Perth and ended up purchasing this amazing piece of wood. Fantastic service from the guys there, and in 3 days I had a this beast delivered from Perth to my front door in NZ. I'll let the pics do the talking. Currently knocking it in for next season.
Fullsize SH 2.8 :o
11 grains, 42mm edges and a 63mm spine

Looks a ripper! :o
How much did it set you back?
-
absolutely love these bats !
-
Can't tell by the angle of the picture but is it close to the oblivion profile?
-
The photo's really don't do it justice and almost make it look dirty.
It is one of the nicest looking bats I have ever seen. It was actually quite hard starting to knock it in as the edges were so sharp. Carefully had to knock those down to a rounded shape. Amazing pick up and quite unbelievable the 2.8 for the amount of wood. I can see why Over Gully reckons all the WA pros want them.
Not cheap though :)
-
Lovely bat, but I'm sorry, those XXX sticker have gone downhill massively
-
Those grains! :o
I think I've had a slight accident looking at those pictures!
-
looks kashmire lol sorry
-
looks kashmire lol sorry
the grains run nicely throughout the toe regardless! ;)
-
New fads grains running through toe make bat better.
Sorry cam only pulling
Bat look ok I like the shape maybe a tad over concaved
-
You've been spoilt with crown clefts Dave, that's nowhere near excessive concaving!
-
Maybe your right Steve as a fan of concaving that looks heavily concaved to me.
I do like the shape though
-
I'd take that shape if it's 2.8
-
Aye me too like I said looks nice

Fad or not it looks nice haha (and if it was mine they'd be covered with a toe guard anyway)
-
Great looking bat, and very big for 2-8. Looks like your building up quite a collection.
-
I have to say this looks a stunning bat to me, interesting to see the quality of this bat and compare it to English Gray Nicolls graded LE bats. The Australian Gray Nicolls LE bats seem to appear to be graded differently.
-
Looks lovely, and by far the best GN stickers I've seen.
It's not a criticism, just an observation. - the XXX shape seems to have evolved more into a harder, sharper edged one compared to the early ones - poss with a flat face? Sign of the times maybe?
-
Are happy times remember getting pads gloves from them o happy days .As with the bat think it as to do with fashion
-
And we're not slaves to fashion are we Bass-hunter?!
-
Enjoy the knocking in process, plenty of time, good looking best as well!
-
I think with better pics it would be much more adorable. Unbelievable amount of wood for the weight, bit more concaved than my liking but no complaints kepping in mind the weight to amount of wood ratio. Sticker is awful IMO.

Thanks for the comments guys. It is an amazing bat and better than the Aussie Legend I believe. Very interesting to see how many people are divided by the stickers. I personally love them and was one of the reasons I bought it. No one in NZ has seen one before, people are already asking what it is and where they can get one. I'm not a huge fan of concaving but this one seems to be about right. Huge profile and still very very light. Will do a review when I use it.

Who on earth came along and went "Yeah the normal GN stickers are nice... BUT I'm going to let the 16-year old work experience boy, who is colourblind and finishes work in 10 minutes, to design some new ones"...
Gray Nicolls AU deserve shooting!
This is like the Susan Boyle of bats, not much to look at but I am sure will surprise us with its incredible performance! :D
-
And 'triple' is incorrect ... It says 'tripple'
-
Well - much admit that I'm not overkeen on the stickers.........but the profile and willow looks very impressive! :D

Each to their own then. :)
I will say that I like the Aus GN stickers over all much more than the UK one's. Take the new Power bow and Nemisis, looks like someone just threw a can of paint at them.
-
These stickers are subtle and far better than the foul looking recent Powerbow and Maverick ones. The older GN stickers were classy but recently they seem to be catering to skateboarders and hippies with their colour schemes.
-
Quite like the stickers, however prefer the black/silver/grey ones they've done previously!
