either Deccan Chargers or Delhi Daredevils

Runs - Dilshan or Threscothic or Gautam Gambhir

Wickets: not sure - will not be a surprise if spinner take more wickets than pace bowlers.

Sixes: Gilli, Andrew Symonds, Warrner

I want Delhi or Deccan Chargers to win. NSW look to be very strong.

Top run getter/Sixes : Sehwag, Gambhir, Symonds, Gilchrist, Warner

Most wickets : Nannes or McGrath

Bit harsh to drop him after the innings he played against South Africa.

The NSW Blues and Victorian Bushrangers look brilliant so far. Both have got fantastic bowling units. The may well be a repeat off the KFC Big Bash, which was contested by these two sides.

Secondly, Shah was crap again. Delhi would've been better off playing a youngster from their squad.

Just to warn you though - it is quite likely they will shut the links down, so its a case of trying lots of links from different sites. I will post any other good links i get!

Very good fight by the Chargers. All most winning it despite being around 20 runs light. Shame Fidel bowled a pair of beamers.

We like to play fair in Somerset, like allowing them northerners to win the county championship because Blackwell moved north to have a game and we did not want to upset him. Surely no-one in the IPL really thinks they can beat Cider Power.

What's the format of the champions league? Is it just a simple league or are there knockout games?
Title: Re: Champions League T20
Post by: Jeet on October 10, 2009, 07:16:15 PM
Top two sides go through from each group. (1st Group Stage)

The 8 teams then get divided in to two groups of 4. (2nd Group Stage)

The top 2 of each group go into the semi finals. (Knockout Stage)

Title: Re: Champions League T20

Delhi had a fantastic win against the Sri Lankan side yesterday. More importantly, an IPL side finally winning a game!!!

Sehwag blasted a quality 66(getting into form at the right -with the Australia ODI series couple of weeks away) and Karthik played very well and destroyed Mendis.

Nannes was awesome, maybe the best twenty20 bowler in the world. But the star had to be McGrath . Hadn't played since the semi final in IPL1 and bowled like a dream. 2-18, not bad for someone getting straight of the plane and into competitive cricket.

with regards to somerset, i dont think it was a case of t&t playing well , but of Somerset woefully underperforming, they were extremely lucky to scrape through their last match!
Title: Re: Champions League T20
Post by: Jeet on October 12, 2009, 05:52:42 PM
The IPL sides are coming to the party now. Delhi where excellent yesterday and Bangalore where magnificent today. Kallis was brilliant, with and ball, Taylor was brutal and Kumble and VD Merve squeezed the Otaga batsmen.

mixing business with fun Lekka! If that is the case neither you nor most of the bat makers on this forum (or discussed on this forum) will never ever sell a bat to a forum member here. ;) :) I was  just put off by you unnecessary question mate.

Thanks Lekka. Honestly, I myself did not believe that SS could make such a good bat. But since Lukey insisted he could get a top grade custom from SS and that I was under no obligation to buy, I did not have anything to loose as I could have always walked away saying I did not like the bat.

Will you email me the pics of your bats when they arrive?

(Good I am not the betting types as I would have lost. Saved money for a new bat....:) )

Some problems with the camera at the moment but once sorted out I will send some pics.

Next up , Australia to leather the WI's in the test series down under.

Stick a tepee on it and you will not be disappointed.
