Title: Best glue to use for peeling stickers

Hi all,

As per the title a couple of stickers have started to peel off one of my old sticks so was wondering what is the best glue to use to re-stick these without potentially causing any damage.

Would standard wood glues suffice?

I use UHU  glue comes in yellow tube spread thinly onto sticker only,then pressed firmly onto bat when tacky drys in two minutes.
