hi all, i was wondering if any 5ft 10-11 guys around 175-180cm who bats with an academy bat? how much is the difference from the academy and full size bat?? cheers
-
I'm 5'11" and I just did some shadow practice with an academy size and more than the size the weight was the issue.
-
What will the weight be?? And does it differ much in matches if anyone play it in matches before? Thanks

Waive the same weight of each size around and see what feels better. Most 'shorter adults' find an academy picks up much better compared to a SH. But you aren't a short adult ha ha. So at 5ft 10-11 I would probably lean towards a lighter SH (if you were 5ft 7 I would say go with the academy).
Remember that an academy size bat is 1-2mm narrower (which is probably irrelevant if you use the middle... or have big stickers on the side of the blade!) and some people factor that into the equation as well.
One of the main benefits of academy size (almost half the price of a SH) won't apply to you since you being sponsored...

Totally agree with you mate. If you are worried about the weight get a light weight bat.
