When can we buy one of these then?? Looks top drawer :D
-
We have a machine at work that can do this.
Like this, looks really cool when done right!
-
Now that I really like. Don't think you need the '100% English willow' bit. Baie lekker ;)
-
I was pleasantly surprised when i saw these pictures earlier today.
I'll leave Gary to explain, but i look forward to getting my B&S Special next season. :)
-
Lose the back stickers though
-
Hi Guys as this bat in question is my own personal one for this season I thought a few different ideas could be put into action .For those of you interested my bat is 3/4 inch shorter than std it weighs in @ 2.9 and has 43mm edges very little concaving a touch lower middle than normal. Getting back to the laser engraving I think the side B&S is there for next year the front I like a lot and would like it on the back as well sadly it cant be done as a flat surface is needed if anyone knows any different please let me know the cost is a bit on the high side as well. I do know Willowstix have introduced this and i did see Hell 4 Leather have some pictures on there blog its not my intention to steal any of there ideas but if the response demand is there it could well be on the cards anymore more thoughts or ideas are most welcome
Regards
Gary

I personally would prefer the b&s edge to be rotated 90degree's
-
Lose the back stickers though
I concur.
-
I quite like the idea of 90 degrees
-
Really like the laser engraving - use it for next year!
-
Looks nice that very retro in a kind of good way love the side branding more than the front bioh all in all nice matey
-
looks good. i also agree about turning 90 degrees
-
If you can't laser the back possibly some new stickers to match the laser etched theme??
Less bright colour, more understated B&S logo in brown on a clear sticker??
That might be me talking rubbish but possibly something to consider
-
I'm really liking this... Also saves a little weight that the stickers would have added! Maybe I'll get the edges of mine done if I send it off for a refurb. ;)
-
Only issue is with rehandling.
-
I would either move the logo down or the writing up as the space between seems a bit unnecessary at the moment. I think the engraving looks very classy.
One point to add, how easy is the engraving to see from afar? Just thinking from a brand exposure side of things. Your stickers at the moment work really well as they are pretty unique shapes and colour schemes.
-
Great comments.Rehandling I did not think about skip good point, clear stickers Cameron is where I was going ,as far as visual not that good but not looking like signing a top TV PRO too soon close up very effective price is a big issue need to work on it the side engraving for the L/E will be there next year have a good day

Don't GM laser engrave the back of the players edition bats?

Like the idea a lot; very retro. Willostix do a similar thing as well:

I guess it can be done on the back, but the issue will come when doing it across the spine, or over both sides.
-
Yes but on the flat part
-
Not sure it works with those graphics ATM. Slaz did a great lazer engraved bat maybe 8 years ago

I love it but think it looks best when it's not on the splice, not convinced by by the two different colours you get. But on the whole think it looks incredible!
-
Why not have laser engraving on the front and stamping on the back? could be designed so its on either side of spilce instead on running across the entire face....Stamping/Branding on the back could be done with a not so hot branding iron so its not as dark but leaves a decent impression in the wood with some minor darkness...
-
Not sure you will get the same quality by stamping as opposed to engraving the detail on engraving is very good
