HI guys,
Refer to my earlier post with the title "a very special bat". I gave order to B3 to made me a special crown willow bat, bat is now with me.
Brief review
My required specs were What I got
Willow :Crown with minimum 10 straight grains around 12 pretty straight
Edges: Minimum 40mm around 40 mm
Concaving : Minimal or nil Minimal
Handle: Oval Oval
Weight : Max upto 2.10 2lb & 8.5
Pick up: Light Very light
Ping : Very Good Very Good
Bat is excellent. I was surprised when i checked the weight which turned out to be only 2lb 8.5, mind you it is a pretty big bat with 40 mm edges and minimal(almost negligible)concaving.
Balance and pickup is almost perfect. Finishing is top notch and it pings very good. Everything is almost perfect and i am really happy with this bat.
The downside is little knot and some marks on the back of the bat and pretty average service from B3 guys.

Was a pleasure i agree it was a tad slow on our behalf at times with conformation of payment and with you being in Dubai testing for us and agree we could have responded better but without feedback like yours our process would not be refined in which they have been. The topic of customer services did pop was broached by me on Friday meeting and there now better plans in place to see potential problems and better dealing with them. Our process has been refined and we are and will be better.
On to the bat as you know it was plucked from a very select group of clefts it was my second choice the other had less grains yet was a tad lighter and had grains going through the toe but you did say you wanted more so that is what i did.
Glad you like the bat as i said i think it is better than my Trott which is some statement and i think the crispness of the bat is key inline with the sheer size.
It is a saved profile on the machine and one i will copy in the future for my bats you have a great eye for a great profile.
As always I'm customer driven as I'm sure you will testify just because i have joined B3 does not mean i will become blind Integrity and Honesty is my core value. I hope with my help you found our service better and better.
This is a special bat i wish it was in my collection i picked it up and played some shadow shots t Crown are selected for there size and there potential playability although i think it looks very good and this is inline with some of the White label professional bats going out.

I know you spec'd it, but does it meet your expectations?
The bats I've seen of yours have been some of the best looking bats I've ever seen, ,does the b3 top the list?

Bat looks superb. The orange b3 stickers are crackers. But my mate rocks them so i cant. Lol.
On 3 of my 4 b3 the service was top notch. One i felt a little ignored, and on occassion general enquiries ober social media have been ignored.
But i hope thats just due to them being busy, forgrtting to reply knowing i would pop in if needed. As opposed to purposefully ignoring me.
As they are good guys
Goodluck with tbe bat, im sure the marks on the back will have little effect on the bats play.

I've got to say the photos really don't do the bat justice. Everything about the bat was perfect and the shape is definitely one to bear in mind for the future.
Think you have to bare in mind B3 try to reply to as many emails as they can and when busy it might take longer for them to reply. I know first hand it's not always possible to reply as quickly as I would've liked.
Will be interesting Shoab to have a review after you've used it once or twice - I hope it's not a bat to just admire ha

Having seen this bat in th flesh...this bat is absolute beauty .. Never seen such a huge bat with thick edges , high spine with that weight ..as procricketer said this beauty has a awesome ping ..and given that weight i think this is a complete bat ..great bat .top top stuff from B3 guys ..cheers mate :)

The only thing I would have done differently is the toe. It looks a wee bit thin towards the edges.

Given that the weight / pickup is 1.5oz lighter than your spec, chunkier edges at the bottom might have been good insurance against toe damage.
But I'm nitpicking, very nice bat indeed!

AVERAGE SERVICE To explain, initial response to my mails were good but later on slow the other issue was regarding payment, after i made transfer, they couldn't check with their bankers for a week whether money credited or not, this annoyed me. It was after Dave intervention that this issue got sorted. So i rated their service average neither good nor poor.

With your help everything was almost smooth sailing except few issues as you have pointed out.
Overall I am happy and satisfied, you selected perfect cleft.
Now you have joined B3 so I am sure their service will definitely improve.

Yeah I bounced ball and response is amazing. Regarding meeting my expectations, I would say 85% met. I have some other special bats which are cosmetically better than B3 and B3 is definitely in top 3.

Overall service of B3 is ok if not great. Mark on the back is annoying but shouldn't effect performance, i believe.

Thanks, price i paid is 400 less 67 VAT = 333 and you add 40 for postage so total = 373 GBP

Thanks mate, toe is not very thick but decent enough to protect any damage, it is the angle of pic giving wrong impression of a thin toe.

It all depends on personal experience. I agree on few points like service etc and after bouncing a ball i think it pings great but still too early for me to comment on its performance. I will update with my honest opinion after having few nets session.

I have to say this unfortunately to knock guys who make over 40 professional players including many international players, bat as not good bat makers is a tad harsh given the feedback from over a thousend bats that went out of the door last season. The poshavers we have have alot of experience at a leading brand before they came here.

Alot seems to have gone wrong from here.
Of the feedback we have received so far we have been very happy with customer feedback and seem to have gone from strength to strengh.
We try to please all people so please do get in touch either via here or the websight as you seem to have a issue.
The bats i have had and yes you and Shoab get the same treatment if not better than i have gone well 1300 runs in all cricket last year using them.
But there is a two edged coin mate whilst i will always be customer service orientated to say our batamaking process is not good just does not sit right with me.
I will back the crown willow as well against anything in the market.
To really understand willow you have to ask a simple question in theory the more you get the more quality you get i would suspect as raw clefts alone we would possibly be in the top 5 users in the Uk so we get a fair selection of willow.
As for willow technicians ask Wrights themselves they will tell you Dr David Bacon is one of the leading willow technicians in the world.
It is a shame you feel so adamantly mate you should get in touch because if your that angry we need to speak about it and see what can be done.

Also, how can the customer service have got worse since you bought?
Not having a pop, simply curious about the change of heart since the last thread - is it a different bat?

The tow would not worry me, if it plays ok and feels well. Then mentally it would mean more knowing I was comfortable rather than worrying about any toe damage or breakage.

That's a great looking blade. Nice grains, profile, size for weight and sticker an over all nice bat.

Got to agree with you there Fattus after ready CA's initial review, I don't think the review could be any better.
If the bat is unwanted I know a very good home for it - looks a stunner and really like the orange stickers

My apologies to you Dave. My comment on the bat making skills were unwarranted. It was a fine bat until it broke, you can understand the frustration that comes with that. Appreciate your time and effort in terms of looking into the matter.
