Imagine my dismay when I pull my brand new bat from the bat cave on my Kookaburra wheelie bag and notice a series of small dents up the top near the splice. Taking a minute out to work out what has gone on, I realise to my horror that they have put the shoe pocket directly above the bat cave and any weight on top of the bag has forced my spikes down and damaged my bat. Massive, massive design flaw.
I wasn't going to buy another Kookaburra bag again anyway as the whole thing is pretty flimsy in the first place, but what kind of idiot would make an oversight like that? The helmet compartment is at the other end and I'm sure that there would have been damage to my bat even if I had put them in the bat cave upside down.
BE WARNED. >:( >:(

My mates had the same problem as this, the material between the bat cave and the shoe pocket certainly isn't sufficient to prevent dents - surprised they managed to miss that

Thanks for the warning. I have the same bag, will try and put some sort of padding so it doesn't happen to me

A simple fix for the shoe pocket is to store your shoes in it upside down. Too late for me and the helmet is still going to cause damage at some point...

If it's a small dent it can often be removed from wood by applying a drop of water to the area, then put a tea towel over and use an iron.
The iron steams the water which when rising through the wood will raise the dent.

It's numerous small dents.

Mine did the same, I unfortunately accused a team mate of stamping on my bat until I worked out what was happening

Mine, I just packed it, and then went to take it too the car. And as I pulled on the handle then entire side of the bat cave ripped off with it!!
Made it easier to get bats out, but shows how rubbish the kook bags are. Worse made equipment ever,

I'm in the market for a proper coffin now so I can protect my kit better
