Title: new kit bag from forum sponsors
Post by: Fearless Fly on April 17, 2014, 01:23:04 PM
Hi all.

I am in the market for a new kit bag and was wondering what the forum sponsors have. I am looking for a very large bag as I carry lots of gear.
Something that could carry
4bats
5 pairs of gloves
Helmet.
1 possibly 2 pairs of pads
2 pairs of shoes and a pair if aero strippers.

Basically something with heaps of storage compartments

Thanks

Fly

Who needs to carry 4 bats and 5 gloves? haha

Surely better off just getting a big wheelie bag with that amount of kit? The weight would be horrendous in a duffel!

Always have carried 4 on match day. As I dont use a duffle for training everything is in it. So net bat. Number 1 game bat no2 game. And I do have a t20 style bat in there for a laugh. Gloves same boat 3 match pairs and 2 training.

Looking for a giant wheelie

Aero Stand Up Tour bag?

It's going to cost you an absolute bomb to get a bag shipped over though, you are better off shopping locally think.

I did have a bag big enough but I busted it. Pair of spikes went through the canvas and ripped a massive have hole in it

Postage always a killer but i am more interested to see what people suggest and can have a look for some great forum deals.

Aero bag did cross my mind though.  Cheers

Haha at least I don't put it all over the room. I leave my kit in my bag rather than place it where I am so I really don't take up a lot of room apart from a bag which isnt that bad considering our rooms are pretty big in the comp I play in

I don't see what the issue is. 4bats and 5 pairs of glvoes isn't that much kit and the rest is pretty Normal?

This is still cbf right??

I bought the mid size aero wheelie from vitas. It only has one big pocket and a shoe pocket but in it currently is.

4bats
4pairs of gloves(in a soft picket glove bag)
1 pair of pads
2 pairs of shoes(spikes and non spikes)
1 ayrtek
1 set off strettons.
Whites
2 towels
Bag of balls
Side arm pro
Selection of caps.

All good,

Cheers mate.  Is that bursting at the seams or still plenty of room in it

Not bursting, but other than clothes, I doubt I'd fit anymore in.

Issue with it is the one big pocket, obviously takes a lot of rummaging throughout I get stuff. But as we have a bat rack in our changing room. The bats go on the rack and then it's easy to move about in to get my kit.

I bought it as I'm not a fan of bat caves, as I've had a fair few bats damaged in them, so now I've got a few well padded bat covers, and then the bats go on the top of my kit in there,

It wasn't that expensive, was looking at getting a spartan bag from vitas which is humongous compared, but the price, and the issue of driving a 1series, meant I went with the smaller, cheaper bag.

I had the big GN1000 I think (the one with pin-stripes)  It was bloody massive and had a seperate cave for your bats plus other cubby-holes.

It seemed pretty well put together as well.

Here's our review of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXDJizMVsjU (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXDJizMVsjU)

In a nutshell: great bag, just a shame about the handle...

No such problems with the M&H T1, which I would recommend for you: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-bags-bat-covers-c3/millichamp-hall-t1-cricket-bag-p604 (http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-bags-bat-covers-c3/millichamp-hall-t1-cricket-bag-p604)
