Title: What twine is used to bind a cricket bad?
Post by: kk0239 on April 25, 2014, 03:10:14 AM
I saw couple of bats binded with a twine (just like tennis bat string) at the toe region.

What do u call that string as? Also is it available on ebay?

Butchers twine works well but the top end would use what is allowed in F1 tyres.

Hi.. is there a name/ pic for what is allowed in f1 tyres

Traditional cotton, this  binding is stronger and easier to work with. The binding i have seen on EBay is made of nylon.

It's a waxed cotton, I think it's from a place called twines online.

▲▲▲▲ good thing about it is that it shrinks by around 10% when glue (or water) is applied giving a tight strong binding.
