Title: Movember Cricket Bat
Post by: SAF Bats on October 22, 2009, 10:02:26 AM
Hi All

A team of us are growing a moustaches for Movember this year.

Movember is about having fun, growing a moustache and raising much needed funds and awareness for men's health - specifically prostate cancer. What many people don't appreciate is that one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK, more than 35,000 men will be diagnosed this year and that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK.

2009 is Movember's third year in the UK. If you are interested in learning more about the work that is being carried out as a result of Movember funds, check out the details at http://uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs. (http://uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs.)
Let's 'Change the Face of Mens Health.'

I will be auctioning off one of my Inaugural Willow cricket bats in the month of Movember [bids via pm please]

A little info on Inaugural Willow:

High performance, low density, big volume willow. Hand selected from 1000's of clefts
Completely handmade to your specification.
Price of the bat is on Application [so no one know's the price anyways]
These bats have scored 1st Class centuries [I cant say by whom though so dont ask]

Questions on Movember welcome and bat but sensible one's only please

Please Note this is advertised elsewhere so you may not win the auction. All of the money is going to Prostate Cancer awareness

Just a question, is the bat up for auction now? If so can you say the highest bid or are they sealed?

Bids come to me so I guess they are sealed bids [I have bids locally but no one knows who has bid what unless they told each other]
