Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on April 25, 2014, 04:49:55 PM
Delighted to finally have KP using the product in the IPL, the finger injury has meant hes missed the 1st 3 games but he made his 1st appearance today for the DD.

Congrats Tom.
One silly question - why no pin stripes
Personally I think they help better define the shape of the helmet and add that extra touch to the design.

I noticed that! I saw that most helmets had something on the back and Adidas wasn't even allowed on the side of the grill!

We could have more made in that blue if requested/ordered. Did mention doing a KP range to him so will have to follow up on it now that he's using the product :)

Hasn't KP been told the BSI standards are a load of old tosh?

Seriously though mate am very pleased to see (arguably) the most high profile player certainly in this country if not the world endorsing your work. Onwards and upwards for team ayrtek! I'd have a few celebratory thatchers golds if I were you :-)

Great work and exposure - the colour is superb...

Interesting wearing my (navy) Ayrtek in our club's nets - first two weeks; loads of stick.  BY the third it was being tried on and now many more questions about how it feels, how much, where from, etc.

Classic human traits with anything new really!

Good to hear, the RawTek models with the ACIS liner are selling as quick as we can make them, we did take delviery of fresh stock on Friday of the PremierTek range so i've got a busy day ahead tomorrow sending out orders before getting all the counties lids assembled and out the door as well this week.

Not allowed the adidas logo but they have shirts plastered with sponsors logos and advertising allover the grounds and mentioned by commentators and even a time out named after a sponsor. Thats ridiculous

Those sponsors are probably paying silly money to have their name there and adidas arnt

That helmet looks fantastic Tom, saw him wearing it the other night and thought that the helmet really suits him. Also, I think that the colour is fantastic.
Props to you mate!.

I suspect someone said to him that he looked silly, so he refused to put it back on.....

He wants to worry less about how he looks  and more about scoring runs then. Cos his form is dire!

Is it the effect of not playing anything but t20? Kallis  and mike hussey t wo others that have retired to t20 only, have both been dropped by there franchises. And you ain't gonna Improve sat on a Bench.

Time for kp and his ayrtek to get back to surrey and some fc games

Because he's a knob! The ECB said so and now he's proving them right  ;)

Seems he needs a period to adapt to the helmet after speaking to the people on the ground who meet up with him last week. Seemingly he didnt trial the helmet prior to playing and noticed it felt different to what hes used too (lighter and with a different outlook due to the peak). His relatively poor form and low confidence meant he didnt want too many variables in his kit currently.

Hopefully we will see him back in the adipower helmet soon once hes had the chance to adapt to it....along with a few other players over the summer!
