Evening all.
I have decided that low middle bats seem to suit my front foot game, but when I play my back foot drive I hit the ball higher up on the bat.
As you can gather this presents a problem.
To help me, please would you suggest some shapes for me to think about.
Thanks

I think you should be looking at a twin peaks style shape with a double middle....

Thanks, that is an idea. I am not convinced though

MC shape?

What about a Velocity from Paul Aldred? Mine is a G3, it's around 2.11/2.12 has a max spine of 57mm 120mm up the blade and it still has a 50mm spine height 280mm up the blade (just under the stickers) it has a nice long playing area. I think the shape is worth a look, also the finish of the bats is top quality.

Also depends on your budget, I also have an Affinity Spectre which was a bit more expensive. It is a good shape for front foot driving and has a really good sized sweet spot. The pick up is very surprising for the shape! Not sure if the Spectre is available in really light weights though. Customer service is really good buying direct from both Aldred and Affinity, you will not be disappointed.

ST shape from B&S has a really long middle, and offer great value for money, plus Gary is great to deal with, really cant recommend the service and product enough

Thanks, please keep the suggestions coming.
Interesting.

Can you tell us your price and weight range?
H4l hellfire might be good for you also, they have a mid middle which has a lot of coverage. It is one one the first of my bats that I reach for. You can also pay around £130 -£150 for a devil or £300 for a pro so available in all price ranges.

Hi, thanks, I am really asking for shapes, I have a wonderful source for my bats, who knows my weight ish and I we usually agree a price, no problem.
-
My new butterfly shape is the ticket take a look in the b3 section.
But your source does indeed get some good bats

Is it a low swell you want? I actually find that the offset edge does seem to lengthen the middle. Maybe a mid or mid-high middle with offset edges and a spine running down to the toe? I guess it depends what weight and what kind of pick up you like!

Just go for an icon....

Look at the new Newbery Mjolner shape mate.

Hold your bat up higher ;)

Newbery Bomber B52 XL is worth a look...my personal favorite

Sounds like a technique issue to me, I have a really good batting manual my coach wrote that you might want to borrow ? 😉
-
SC series 1 profile looks worth a shot for you.
-
Maybe a gray nics x181?
-
I think you would benefit from a long session in a private batting clinic with The Monger.
That will sort you out.
-
Bruce I want to try this Monger out mate.
-
Perhaps some time over the next couple of weeks you will my friend - she's a little bit dirty, as she's up for anyone to use her!

Fattuscattus, please spare me that uncouth baton.
What are the forum's views on the kudos or tour xl?
Thanks

I think you need to perhaps take a look at the ST Samurai if you need to look at a low bottom.

From what you've said, H4L Hattori, Aldred Velocity, the new Newbury Mjolnir (I've got one and it's amazing), H4L NV, BB have a great low middle bat, also B3 have much to offer.
All of which are available between 150 and lots.
He problem isn't the location of the middle, it's the huge choice!
It's down to the brand and what floats your boat.

Thanks, lovely looking bat Mr B3.
Lots of lovely shapes...
